Today we will be doing a triple test comparing the ls stock cam vs stage 1 and stage 3 cams in both idle quality and sound. The stock ls truck cam is pretty mild by comparison. Although the cam is much larger than any of the old school smallblocks, it is by no means, a large cam adding almost 100 thousandths of lift can make a really huge difference but how much more does duration play a roll when doing a cam swap. the cams in question are the btr stage 1 v2 truck cam, the btr stage 3 v2 truck cam and the stock truck cam. let me know which one is your favorite on the comments below! we will not be testing out the truck norris or the stage 2 cam simply because we dont have them but maybe in the future we might!

This is the last part of building your own holley carb for high power. This has been a 3 part series based around the entire premise that you can make any power that you want to make if you make the right choices when it comes to building your own holley carb. In the next video that I make about carbs I will be sharing what I ultimately decided on using for my e85 turbo build. This series of videos will show you that any regular guy can take a stock used carb and use used parts to make it perform the way it needs to perform for his build. In future videos I will show you guys how to make the nessesary changes to be able to tune a holley. everything from adjusting the idle all the way to adjusting the secondary power enrichment circuit. Tuning is based on a triangle and the better your tune is down low, the easier it will be to tune up top.

After A long while I have put the most cohesive method of setting up the idle on your holley carb. Setting the idle mixture screws and getting your engine to run clean without having to buy any special tools. In this video I manage to set up the idle in less than 15 mins and also do it quickly and easily. As of right now, the holley carb on the 318 duster is perfectly set up in both idle mixture and idle speed. The carburetor in question is a DEMON 625, an older barry grant holley copy before holley bought out DEMON. It took a little bit of work, but I've got this set up perfectly.
