I’m gonna be real, I’ve criticised these guys in the past and it’s embarrassing to say but I’ve only just realised all the things they do for the world game in Australia and it’s legacy which is not only amazing, but admirable on so many levels. I’ll admit I was stupid not to see this nor realise it earlier and I take regret in my short sighted criticisms I’ve made in the past. We should be all supporting you guys so thank you Foss and Lucy! You guys honestly deserve a medal along with the crew there in Russia

Imagine being criticized for pronouncing things correctly, what’s wrong with people. I just want to say that we really appreciate the effort you guys put in to bring these games to us.

SBS has always remained dignified and kept their level to the highest standard, I've always enjoyed SBS it has cultural diversity and represents all.

I teach and I always make sure to get student's names right. It just shows respect and that they matter as a person, as an individual. It makes me sad when they tell me that I'm the only one that says their name right.

Craig Foster has been such a class act over the years. New Mr. Soccer after late Les Murray.

Not a football fan in the past but the additional information, analysis etc. that both Lucy and Craig provide, before during and after a broadcast, add so much to the experience for the uninitiated. Continue on as you are and ignore the "knockers", we seem to have plenty in Australia, your efforts are appreciated.

Lucy's explanation stole the show, here. I have confidence in her conviction. I am also sometimes laughed at when I try and say things properly, respectfully. Having lived overseas for a time, you try and learn things properly, then get mocked for it when returning home. That's Australia for 'ya'..! Don't listen to the haters, Lucy, keep being you!

The commentary and analysis by Lucy and Foss this World Cup has been brilliant. As an on-again / off-again football fan you can get dismayed by the FIFA corruption, the diving, the ref inconsistency, etc. but you can also get enthralled by the skill, the passion, the cumulative story of the people who play the game and I think SBS have always done a tremendous job at highlighting the best parts of the game. Even more so this World Cup!

SBS coverage of football is first class. I enjoy hearing other pronunciations of team names. To me it shows respect and a willingness to learn about other countries. I looked up "La Celeste" and "Die Mannschaft" to find out the different names given to their national teams after hearing them on SBS. No other coverage in Australia shows the level of research or respect that SBS does when covering the world game.

When I heard people were making comments about it all - I was shocked with sadness. But the strength and solidarity Lucy has shown with the SBS team is commendable. Well done to you Lucy for being so so strong, thank you Craig for bringing it up and being so honest, and thankyou SBS for showing it and being a great team player. Love you all.

You guys are legends, and if it wasn’t for the INCREDIBLE effort you have put in, we’d be stuck with Optus. Keep it up.

What a sad reflection of a nation where a huge portion of the population are within 2-3 generations of a long ass boat ride from distant lands, & have probably been annoyed at mis-pronunciation of their family names in the past, for criticising someone celebrating & showing respect to the cultural diversity of the World Cup. Thankfully it's a minority who can be ignored & the coverage will continue. Good work Lucy & Foz 🤙

SBS is a multicultural channel and remains one of the best channels to watch. Growing up, it gave me great pride when people took the time to pronounce my name correctly. Keep up the good work.

When I used Optus for the premier league, not only the quality was just an absolute joke (sounds familiar 😁😁😁) but presenting the games weren't much chop either. So when ever SBS was hosting a Liverpool match it wasn't hard choose which I prefer. You guys are setting up what already is a great legacy thanks to Lez. Keep doing what you r doing.

Nothing wrong with respecting the tradition of SBS television and it's broadcasting of the world game. Lucy is pretty good broadcaster and host and is heaps better than Mel McLaughlin. People are criticizing her for pronunciations being over the top should pull their head in and get over it. The great Les Murray would say the say thing to people. Respecting his legacy and tradition of the world game which he put so much into. I reckon all creds to Lucy and Foss for putting this to air. SBS should have broadcasting rights to all soccer including the ALeague.

This is why no other broadcaster should be allowed to show football. SBS for life. Foz and lucy, you guys rock

Craig is the epitome of a gentleman. His professional attitude to explaining the situation is perfect, I know of other hosts who would have simply fired back in anger calling their critics idiots and so on but Craig doesn't do that, he explains his view point and presents his argument. A very respectable man, not only does he represent Australia well but he is a role model.
