@@paulcatindig2260 honestly the three of them are amazing, I drive for work at the moment and have never watched a single anime, or know anything about the culture as a whole, but I've almost completely caught up on their podcasts because of how good they are together. Connor is probably my favourite just because he is easier to understand most of the time (Joey and Garnt say a bunch of anime words that mean nothing to me) and its been cool to watch them

@@squidca2455 if you do happen to check out anime in the future, there are really only 3 paths open to you, in terms of beginner friendly shows (that are still incredible, individually). Pls read the recommendations at least lol. First recommendation is “death note”. Genius Teenager finds a notebook that can kill people on the grounds of his school and uhhh does stuff with it. 2nd is “code geass: lelouch of the rebellion”. A genius prince and his sister is exiled from the kingdom of Britannia to live out the rest of his days in their penal colony of Japan. The exiled prince leads a rebellion against Britannia. 3rd is “attack on titan”. Humanity has perished at the hands of giants called titans and all that’s left are humans inside a massive 400km wall. One day, the titans managed to breach the wall and all hell breaks loose. The MC decides to kill all titans as revenge for the trampling of his home

This was so damn amazing to watch last night. Connor coming in with his chess background, just playing all slow, taking his time, then getting that rare clutch W with a fraction of time left. It's also cool they brought him on for this, since he said he can't do actual boxing because of his blood condition. So this was a nice way for him to be included!!

This is honestly the best way to see the growth of streamers and online personalities. For a good portion from like 2007-2018 the most you'd get would be letsplays, streams and maybe a meet up at a con with the creator being complacent with just making videos and streams but the last few years with Mogul Money, The Price is Scuffed, Jerma's Doll House, Creator Clash and now Chess Boxing championship we're in the phase of legitimate great content that is inspired and quite the event to witness. Honestly, the work has been put in for all these, and it shows. I can't wait to see it evolve even more. This is what content creators should aspire to achieve in their career's.

That first slap showed how it would go. Ludwick tensed up especially the neck. Connor relaxed his neck and was able to turn his head with it letting him absorb the slap.

Tbh I hope the slapping thing is a one off. Slap competitions are funny tho pretty dangerous due to all the head trauma since you literally can't defend yourself

@@RegimeTwenty4seven not really no, slaps have higher surface area and are less solid so they are very ineffective ate causing concussions. Punches have less surface area and provide way more force since you rotate your hips with the punch

I somehow notice that ludwig upper body leaning forward toward the table making it easier for connor to land a good slap on him while connor trying to make his upper body leaning backward as much as possible so it is harder to slap him because of the wide of the table. Also in the split second right before the slap arrived Connor always slightly move his face in the opposite direction of the slap to reduce impact while ludwig tank it directly with the last slap being the only exception for him where he also moved his face into the opposite direction albeit with imperfect timing.

Finally someone else noticed this, thanks. This is such an important detail. Connors tactic, although possibly not conscious, finds practice in many martial arts, to reduce the impact of an enemy strike. Even tho, in this instance, I am not so fond of Connor doing so.

Btw i just rewatch it in slow motion and apparenly ludwig also move his head into the opposite direction quite often so the biggest thing helping connor here is probably his stance where he leaning his upper body backward making it hard for ludwig to put his body weight into his slap because of the distance.

This was such a sick event, and this was the perfect way to end it, congratulations Lud for such an amazing event. The only problem was at this point in the stream because of the sponsor the chat was full of people spamming their cash tags which made the chat annoying, but all in all everything was amazing 👏
