Love the CT6

the Benz hands down on the interior, but the ct6 looks boss on the exterior it holds its on damn well

After driving a CT6 I couldn't believe it. Amazing, miles ahead of S5500 IMO. Always gotta keep options open.

Never heard of Caddy's V6 being described as "horrible sounding" till now. Also, the Caddy's more of a sports sedan than the Benz. It punches above its weight price and performance wise. It would be more interesting seeing this one against the 7 series since it's much closer in price 80k starting. Put the base 7'er against the top Caddy, as their prices match. I bet the Caddy will do well performance wise but don't know much about the 7'er's features/interior.

Both cars are very nice, but can they survive the hydraulic press????

The irony whenever he says the colors in the CT6 are tacky, whilst displaying the exact same colors on the ambient lighting for the S-Class. Sometimes I feel like leasing cars shouldn't be legal, it creates people like this.

If i had the money, the thing stopping me from buying the cadillac over the competition isnt anything wrong with it that he mentioned. Whats stopping me is that there is no V8. Im paying 80k, idk want a v6tt, this isnt ford, this is GM, give me a fucking v8 cadillac

I will say the CT6 has exterior looks! But that S Class interior is amazing.

So basically the Cadillac is a good car, yet its competition is just too good. (Lexus LS, Mercedes Benz S550, BMW 7 series, Audi A8, used examples of these.)

The CT6 is really nice but the Sclass is just ultra luxurious.

For the price of the S-class, I would get a new or used Bentley. Otherwise, I would get the CT6 2.0T.

The CT6 is still a phenomenal bargain, but imagine how it could be if they matched the price of the S550

Caddy looks better and improves so much with every new model. It is a matter of time before people say "I am not European car owner, I have a damn Cadillac!"

This is the first gen of the CT6. I'd give it some slack since nothing is perfect on the first try. If I was to review this car I'd say that it's a step towards the right direction. Cadillac has shown they can kick ass, so I wouldn't doubt them.

You cannot beat the design of the CT6. Seeing it in person, it has one of the highest levels of road presence compared to any other car. Cadillac's designers have somehow managed to keep the sharp, creased lines of A&S design, while smoothening them out at the same time. The low and long hood with vertical lights is very imposing. The 3.0TT engine sounds amazing, but really is only tuned for peak performance at mid to high rpm, which is the exact opposite of typical turbocharged engines. I say Cadillac retunes the 3.0TT to make a little more power beginning at lower rpm. I also think the CT6 should get the 10 speed automatic from the Camaro ZL1. From what I have heard, the CT6's lightweight Omega platform makes for a very tossable driving experience. The upcoming 4.2TT DOHC V8 will for sure make the CT6 an even better performer. More aggressive brakes, 4 wheel steering system, and suspension should come standard with 4.2TT models. If anyone knows how the testing of Dynamic Skip Fire is coming along, I would love to hear! DSF takes active fuel management / cylinder bank shut-off to a new level where an on-board computer analyzes the necessary power needed to keep the car cruising down the highway or getting up to speed. Based on this data, it will skip individual cylinders from firing, which will reduce fuel usage by 15-20%. Cadillac could have a real tech marvel on their hands if they start being bold and leading their own path, instead of copying the Germans.

S class isnt the top of the line, its the Maybach S600

Bottom line Benz has a deplorable depreciation value. A quick look into eBay will reveal Benz that cost 130k drop to about 80k and 40k within 2 years. They also are very expensive to maintain and repair costs will be high. Not saying Caddy might better but facts are facts

Pitting cars against each other simply because they represent the 'top of the line' of their respective manufacturers is pointless. Honda's top sports coupe is Accord EX . . does that mean it would go up against an Aston Martin Vanquish? Stupid. When evaluating cars, they should face their direct competition, which is largely determined by pricing and marketplace perception. In this case, the Mercedes Benz E Class is the CT6's opposition, not the S.

This is like comparing a Toyota Avalon to a Lexus LS and saying they compete with each other.

You can program the S-Class to have the massage feature turn on with favorites. I actually believe it comes programmed with the massage set to one of the numbers. you have to use the touchpad.
