Apple's M1 Max chip in the new 14 and 16" MacBook Pros comes with a 32-core GPU, double the memory bandwidth and double the video encoders, but is it worth $1,000 over the M1 Pro?
We honestly think it's worth buying this model ($50 OFF) ➡ geni.us/OuBRWv

In this video, we compare EVERYTHING between the $2,499 M1 Pro 16" MacBook Pro to the $3,499 M1 Max 16" MacBook Pro to see what differences we can find and if it's actually worth spending the extra cash.
We first take off the back covers to compare the internals, and then we compare things like the SSD speed and SLC cache, as well as the CPU performance in Geekbench 5 and web browsing in the Speedometer 2.0 benchmark.
Then, we get into comparing the differences between the 16 and 32-core GPUs in terms of the performance and wattage, as well as the temperatures and more!
We also ran some very heavy stress tests by putting a full load on the CPU using Cinebench R23 while already running a graphics benchmark to see if we can get any throttling.
And of course, we did some real-world testing with Blender rendering and Final Cut Pro video editing.
