i have just a tune on my m157, very strong motor no issues no blowby or anything and it has 154,000 Miles! ive done tons of pulls to 160mph in 100 deg weather.

Classic case of overboosting and modifying a perfectly good engine to the point of catastrophic failure. You know these motors are plenty quick and strong in STOCK form, some guys want more and they push till it breaks. Great video Tasos.

The block is aluminium, I've seen way better blocks made from treated steel with steel pistons, old school materials way better than this ecological rubish engine , mercedes is just making us spend more and more money

Hello Tasos 👍, Part 3 will show what is still possible with cylinder 1 + 5. The owner should have asked you better for your advice 🙏🙏😫. I was just watching part 1 thinking I had to wait for part 2. And POOF ,,,, part 2 lol. I’m really happy I got the m156 engine. It might have cam shaft problems,,, but it seems like these 157 engines have weaker rods. I have a weistec stage 3 and have beaten the life out of it.... Still no problems. These 157’s are bending rods with down pipes and a tune.... Still love your work Tasos. Keep the videos coming.

Rocco Massello they are not built to take that extra boost it seems. Other videos he has made about the exhaust seems like nr 1 and 5 seems to be hot from factory

M157 is a compact engine with transmissions.. manufactured n imported from Chaina with branded mb sticker. It is a silliest design or un designed, unmatchable to its room volume, a gain its hard to set it in without farther modification without rerooting gathering coiling bending ,cutting and so on.. once you open the engine hood immdiatly you will notice what i mean.. Its a herbal n very difficult for the Technician's hand to gain access for any service or replacement parts unless removing half of the engine n some times removing all the engine ,transmission along with crossmember.. These problems aplys to all almost all US n yurpian cars specially new Landrovers, BMW, MB, GM , Opel , VW Audi And all cheep assambl cars which are out of their home
