French President Emmanuel Macron and EU Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen urged China's President Xi Jinping to ensure more balanced trade at the start of a visit to Paris by the Chinese leader, during which Macron will also press him on Ukraine. James Andre is a the Elysées Palace for France 24.

20% of all cars in China are European. Only 8% of all cars in Europe are Chinese. France and Germany export over 85% of all the cars they manufacture. China only exports 15% to 17% of all the cars they manufacture. There is a over capacity indeed in the world, but it ain't China.

What are some of the imbalanced trade practices against France in China? China wants to buy engines for their aircraft, machines for their factories, chips for their computers and phones, and wheels for their high-speed trains but France and Germany refuse to sell them. China's market is still full of German cars.

They gave their technology away to sell in China. Some countries do already have agreements for Chinese car factories too. Spain and Hungary for instance. The EU has a single market. China even makes copies of some of those brands.

The Chinese built up a strategic position over 15 years in rare earth processing technology and capacity. This is what you call strategic positioning, Europe on the other hand has been focused on socialist goals and green initiatives which have not be sustainable or bankable. There are many companies from the EU which have moved their innovation centres to China, this is because there is fierce competition in China not a Oligopoly environment like the EU.

I stopped consuming made in china 🇨🇳 food products specifically since I knew they intentionally contaminate them & I started to find other products ( dry goods & tools ) not made in china 🇨🇳 whatever countries as long as not from china 🇨🇳.
