Momentum
F ∝ V
F ∝ m
F ∝ m x V
Both the quantities are required for the force to be applied.
F ∝ P (momentum)
Momentum:
Momentum is defined of a body as the product of its mass and velocity.
It is a vector quantity
SI unit = kg.ms-1
Question. What is the p of a man of mass 75 kg when he walks with a uniform velocity of 2 m/s.
Question. An object’s momentum is 80 kg m/s and its mass is 16000 G. Find the velocity of the object.
Solution. p = 80 kg m/s
m = 16000gm = 16 kg
p = mv
80 = 16 x v
v = 80/16
Question. Calculate the momentum of the following
An elephant of mass 2000 kg moving at 5 m/s.
A bullet of mass 0.02 kg moving at 400 m/s.
Question. What is the change in momentum of a car weighing 1500 kg when its speed increases from 36 km/hr to 72 km/hr uniformly. .

Sir, I have a question that confuses me. While shooting at the amusement park ranges, sometimes we hit the target, but the target does not fall. We cannot change the mass of the bead we throw and we need to increase its speed. If we press the trigger harder, the speed of the bead coming out of the gun does not change. What should we do to change this speed?

Does force is also directly proportional to inertia as if an object have greater inertia then greater force is required to change its state ??

Mam I have a problem that velocity is depend on force or force is depend on velocity which is correct. Because when we apply less force than the velocity of an object is is less and when we apply higher Force of an object than its velocity is increases so which is correct...I hope velocity of an object is depend on force velocity is the directly proportional to force
