Magnus was such an interesting character he was so conflicted and wanted to believe he was truly a son of Ragnar but deep down he knew it wasn't true and being raised by Christians also confused him with what was or wasn't true. This Video really highlights it all perfectly.

I didn’t like him but he is actually Ragnars son + Ragnar lied to king ecbert and Magnus to save Magnus from being used / manipulated by ecbert - Ragnar was really playing 4D chess

people say he didn’t sleep with her but the Queen got back on top of him a second time, doesn’t mean he slept with her but it’s a possibility. I wish someone from the show confirmed

I feel sorry for Magnus his mother was a queen but he got treated like a mouse and thrown out of the kingdom after his birthright Mercia was ripped away from him by king Edward then he goes back to his family then ends up deas

A harsh reality of fate for the boy. Yet NOT Ragnar's son. For all those holding tight to the scene that was cut and not part of the official Vikings saga by History Channel...It is not verification - They cut it for a reason. Odin visited all of Ragnar's sons - period. The show is not historically correct, that's true, otherwise the known Viking custom of a father acknowledging the sons he has stands true. Ragnar did not acknowledge Magnus as a son. Magnus had a hard life but worse was never being able to fit in to his imagined Viking heritage and torn with his Christian upbringing.

@@widowrumstrypze9705 it was never proven who his biological father was, but it was Ragnar who raised him and taught him, so Ragnar is still his true father no matter what

@@widowrumstrypze9705 Bjorn is Ragnars son. Says so in all the Wikis. Rollo just thought he was his son because he loved him like one. Odin visited all of Ragnars sons. He would not have visited Bjorn if he wasn't ragnars.

Bruh if Ragnar tell Ecbert that Magnus is his son, Aethelwulf will kill him already. The only reason why Ivar is spared is because he's a cripple.

Accepting that would mean accepting he has NO idea who his father is and absolutely no way to find out. Believing it made him think he still had a family that would accept him.
