Well think about it like this, he’s trying to get rid of something and replace it with something he deems as correct. So the very fact is he is trying to create a new world or a NEW ORDER he even calls his curses that he creates “the real humans” he is very hedonistic but that dosent mean that u oppose order those two things have nothing to do with each other

Ya 100% u can have sadistic traits without being a full blown sadist. However for sukuna that’s not the case he meets all the requirements for being a “full blown” sadist and u can see this throughout his interaction like with yuji and loving the torture he inflicts on him mentally and emotionally and yes it would still classify as a disorder because any anti social behaviours are classified as disorders which u can look into analytic psychology field they would agree with that ( even things like introversion can be considered disorders depending on the field of study)

And also that thing you said about anti social behaviors being considered disorders I think that’s weird because then would that mean you can just choose to have anti social behaviors today (and therefore have a disorder) and tomorrow chose to not be like that anymore and stop having a disorder? Because that doesn’t sound like a disorder it just sounds like something you chose to do based on what you believe is or isn’t right. And also let me give a real world example regular people a lot of times like to see heinous criminals suffer and judges condemn those people to life in jail or even death without an ounce of remorse. If guiltlessly harming others is what anti social behaviors are then that sounds like anti social behaviors (and sadism for the regular people) what do you think?

@@joaoalves9330 yes meant mahito well in psychology they talk about how nobody chooses to have disorders it’s nature+ nurture that usually determine this and from that stems a bunch of usually 80% SUBCONCIOUS 20% conscious choices and actions in our day to day life so no most ppl can’t just wake up one day and choose to have sadism or if it didn’t just “randomly” happen it would be do to some environmental stressor or some aspect of the subconscious expressing itself. Also the whole situation with judges and killers would I guess depend on your own moral compass but in psychology their is actually support for some natural morals or laws that govern our minds and one of those the best way to describe it is a sense of justice and in that example those ppl condemning the criminal aren’t condemning them out of want/ desire to see them suffer for the sake of it they are doing it bc there is a collective perceived injustice that needs to be corrected

@@AnimeAddicts33 Well guilt/remorse comes from breaking our own rules right? We have rules that say “do this don’t do that” and when we break them that generates guilt and remorse. The thing is that those rules are changeable if you do a lot of introspection you can change your way of seeing the world (which comes from some sort of choice you made at some point at least for me that’s how it is) and since the rules are based in that they change too. Remorse comes from shame after all it’s the feeling that “I did something bad there’s something wrong with me” logic has it that you won’t feel remorse if you don’t believe there’s something wrong with you and/or with what you did. That’s why I’m saying if you change up your beliefs then you can sorta decide whether or not you will have anti social behavior (and a disorder too from what you said). But this is rooted in the information I have absorbed on this and my own personal experience maybe I just have anti social personality disorder (or something of the sort) and that’s why I can sorta decide what makes me feel remorse and what doesn’t. Still I think it makes plenty of sense that since our identity is rooted in how we see the world if that changes so will our identity and what makes us feel remorse and what doesn’t will follow on the change “wave” I guess you could call it. This is why I believe Sukuna doesn’t have ASPD everything he does is done according to his world view and his identity it makes sense he doesn’t feel remorse Idk about Mahito though. Edit: And also sorry I know this comment is already long as hell but you said judges can guiltlessly harm criminals due to their moral compasses and I agree. Remorse comes from breaking our own individual compasses and for Sukuna’s compass the weak are bad just like in the judges’ compass the criminals are bad and so both of those can guiltlessly harm those they consider bad because they aren’t breaking their compasses’ rules.

Ya ur 50% right our identity and world view to an extent will have us feeling guilty, but like I said there a some universal laws and behaviours that every civilizations comes to understand as wrong or shameful and these are unchangeable and just bc u have aspd dosent mean u don’t ever feel guilt and shame guilt and shame at the very root of aspd usually will have a lot of guilt and shame it’s just SUPER surpassed and entangled in complexes and dosent usually express itself
