I set out for an over-nighter but made some real good time and it morphed into a 13 mile day hike. Come along on a fantastic hike up Bigelow mountain and soak up the views from two 4000' peaks in Maine's High Peaks region.
West Peak - 4145' (1263m)

I plan to continue my section hiking of the AT in Maine next year by doing the section from Rt 27 up to Monson, so the Bigelow range will be my first day of that hike. Thanks for the preview. I would have liked to see some hammock camping as well. Maybe next time. I think I'm at least as jealous of your opening animation as you are of my animated map segments. --Peter

+Peter Nyberg Of the last few years, the Bigelow's are far and away my favorite hills to climb. I think you are going to be very pleased with them next year. I would have liked to do some hammock camping myself. However, the day got away and I was close enough to make it out to the truck by dark. I wish I'd known it was going to be a day hike when I started - I could have saved myself quite a bit of pack weight! I've got some videos on deck where the hammock makes an appearance and another trip planned for this weekend. I'm hoping to get some much better gear shots.

Wait a few years! My retirement goal is to finish the 67. I have done the other 53 or 54 (Most more than once) if you count Katardin with my Dad in 1964r videos are giving me a lot of great information. Thanks. "Widg"
