Solo 7 mile hike to bag two more 4k foot peaks.
This hike was a little different as we ascended and descended Saddleback via the ski trails at Saddleback Resort. Hiking up ski trails is... different. I won't say it's better or worse than hiking up regular trails as it has it's ups and downs.
The base lodge of the resort sits up in the hills a bit and provides an amazing view from the first step we took. With each step of the 1.7 miles to the top the view just kept getting better and better. This is one big advantage of hiking up ski trails!
