Thank you so much for taking the time to put this series of Jaguar XK instructional videos together. They have proven extremely valuable to a new owner like myself (2013 Jag XK NA). With regards to connecting Ctek eyelets permanently to the remote battery terminals, do you have any tips or cautions? I'm not a mechanic so don't have experience removing bolts to install these eyelet connectors. Connection with the alligator clips has not been a problem but less convenient. Thanks for any help.

I'm very pleased that you have taken the time to comment. It's a learning curve and I find out something new practically every video As far as attaching the Ctek permanently: On the remote terminal (with the rubber hood) you will see it has a nut on the top that you can remove to connect a bigger version of the eyelets that come with the Ctek. It looks like the eyelet attached to the Ctek is too small. Make sure you connect the RED. MOST important - make sure the eyelet does not touch any body work as you will create a short circuit. I would wrap electrical tape around the connection if I were doing it myself. The negative end of the Ctek could connect to the nut that holds the bracket I attached the alligator clip to. The negative end is not critical as it's already attached to the body work. If wanted to do this for my car I would pay an auto electrical guy to attach it for me.

A question I had was whether the eyelets supplied with my CTek (MXS 5.0) were of the right size to slip onto the Jag’s remote battery terminals; I believe they are an M8 screw size. Unfortunately from your comments it sounds like they are not, and sadly I purchased a second “comfort” set with a power level indicator (CTek part #56-382) that are of the same size. In any event, this project is on pause for the moment while I sort out another issue: I need one of my LED taillights replaced as the enclosure has a crack in it that has let in water and knocked out most of the LED bulbs; and yes, that is an expensive replacement, particularly as I have only had the car 3 weeks. But I am determined to get this Jaguar XK sorted out for the Canadian Spring starting soon and your video series has been incredibly helpful. Next up for my car is a paint correction and ceramic coating service next week. Can’t wait to see the results!
