I came from daily dose of Internet. Ngl I don't really care for bonsai ( besides the fact they look very nice) but you just look so happy talking about them. I strive to also find something that will make me this happy throughout my entire life! It's nice to see people like you every once in a while.

That's amazing. After 40 years of care, I would never sell it, only pass it on to someone who will give it another lifetime of care.

Hi David. I truly admire your work and energy on such bonsais. I hope you put on some videos to teach people how to grow a forest like this. Even it takes 40-50 years for training the bonsai, we’d love to know the mindset, the principles, the technic you carry on day to day to make the amazing bonsai. If there is any course from you, I would love and be honor to to follow. Your knowledge is absolutely precious. Peace.

Please make a video showing how we can start a forest like this one. Tell us where we can find the trees, type of soil, how to plant, prune, and get started.

This is beyond magical! I thought it was a coast redwood forest at first (closely related and look extremely similar) when watching on Daily Dose of Internet. Even more impressed to find out they're metasequoias! Still grow extremely tall naturally...I have no idea how you kept these from growing tall without making them grow crooked! Seriously, I am beyond impressed. ❤️ 🌲

I had a young Metasequoia forest and I loved it so much. But with a family emergancy calling me away my caretaker didn't water well enough in hot weather and it was lost and I really need to start another, they do grow well from cuttings I believe and I have one in my yard so I'm going to get busy.

On google images I found the fossils of both dawn redwood and modern looking ginkgo in the same stone so I'm planning on growing both of these when I get my own house and garden to recreate that prehistoric environment, I even got both of these plants already but growing them as bonsai.

I've got one in my garden, I had it for about 30 years, it is BIG now!! An interesting point is that it is one of the few conifers that is deciduous i.e. it loses it's leaves during winter, along with the larch and swamp cypress, there may be more, I've got a swamp cypress as well, grows nowhere near as fast as the Dawn redwood (common name for metasequoia).

i just did the math for fun lets say 200 dollars a day in work times 360 times 40 years comes to almos 3 million in work not to count the love so this in my humble opinion is worth up to 5 million dollars
