Major work on the Abandoned Cessna 182 and more fuel Leaks. ALWAYS SOMETHING

Starting to replace the avionics in the ABANDONED CESSNA 182 Sky Lane. We also have more fuel leaks to fix.
Don't for get to check out the video on the abandoned airplane a 1979 Baron B55. Both airplanes where owned by the same owner and sat at the airport for 14 years. These planes where destined for the scrap yard. Thankfully I was able to purchase these planes and rescue them from the scrap yard (hopefully). I am a combination of Jimmy's World and Rebuild rescue. If you haven't seen their videos please check them out. This journey is just beginning.

mine was leaking same place i have a 152 it was the fuel line comeing out of the bottom of the tank had a crack i got it welded good as new .

@Daybreak Aviation , Great series of videos. Just went through this last year on a 1959 182b. I fly out of KPYP, just a few miles from you. Would love to fly over and check out the progress some time. Those fuel leaks are a pain. We have one in the left bladder as well. 😒 Can't wait to see the progress in the next video.

Hey, enjoy watching you work on the 182. I was a mechanic at depot at hill AFB in Utah. Worked on F4, OV10, A10, C130. Next time you have to get screws out like you did on the yoke, just drill the head off and remove the cover then use vise grips to remove the shank. Less chance of damage than drilling out the shank. But you done good. Thanks for sharing.

It's a shame that avionics are so ridiculously expensive. This would be a great airplane to do a panel makeover in.

THE INTERIOR LIGHT PROBLEM IS PROBABLY THE TREANSISTORS ON THE POWER PACK FOR THE INSTRUMENT LIGHTS USUALLY LOCATED IN THE UPPER RIGHT OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FUEL CELL IS DONE. i WOULD TAKE A LOOK FOR RUST IN THE CYLINDERS AND LIFTERS AS AFTER ALL THAT TIME USUALLY THEY ARE RUSTED AND WILL NOT LAST LONG.

Not sure who did the paint, I would have to look through the logs. It was painted in 2008. I painted the interior my self.

Have you thought about 3d printing the plastic pieces?

You guys took out the old bladder and now it’s been replaced and now a fuel leak,,

A 3D printer probably could make them small parts an save you a lot of extra money…..I think am going to have to invest in one of those machines to start making them parts so the community can stop paying so damm much.

3D printing would be a lot cheaper for sure. Airplane parts are so expensive.
