I grew up flying N661KQ and 9179M. Soloed and got all my ratings in them. If you’d like the whole history on them from 1985 and on till they were parked at KEET I’d be happy to chat.

I owned a Twin Beech back in the early 1970s. I got my multi-engine rating in it. A GREAT bird. My partner then ground looped it and it was totaled. Fun while it lasted.

Tricky conditions, lots of oil on the right engine cowling at the end of the flight, nice old bird. Cheers.

I will try, they are a pain to get off, you have to unbolt the cowl flaps and breather to get it off.

I hate this, as an Aircraft mechanic of 45 years, you don't just hop in a plane and start the engines. Also it takes many mouths of engine & airframe inspections before you jump in and fly it. Haven't we learned anything, an example is rebuild rescue(rest in peace Sam kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jK2kfpdy0amzgGQ.htmlsi=tdZZV9Tq34-7QhLc) Rebuilt in 5 days after sitting for many years.

Not rebuilt in 5 days. 🤦♂️

We have been working on this plane for about a year, off and on. We went over every thing to ensure it was safe and airworthy. Also we checked the fuel to make sure there wasn’t any water in the tanks. Please check out the other videos of this plane.
