Hi Everyone. As promised here is the video on how to make the resin lightbulbs so that you can take the tops on and off to be able to change the batteries or be able to send them out to customers without the batteries going flat in the post. This is an improved method that I will certainly be using going forward. Hope this is helpful for everyone and thank you for letting me know you wanted this video.

Excellent upgrade. The screw, most importantly, prevents small children accessing & possibly swallowing the battery, which can be deadly unless caught/diagnosed early enough.

Glad you took my advice on these, told you it works better when you pour right to the top. Try the Lets Resin Moulds, soo much better made and no trimming at the top needed nor do you need to drill into the light bulb, they are made to fit on perfectly and don't come off until you want to take them off.

For something very simple you could twist a wire and moe it look like filament. Cover the wire with glow in the dark pigment, so it will look like it is glowing

Great idea! I don't know if anyone else has commented using double sided 3m tape to hold the led's to the top, then again double sided 3m tape wound around the inside of the fake socket? If anything, I would love to see videos of things used inside besides glitter and flowers. That is litteraly what every video is. I'm trying out alcohol ink and 1 out of 5 work. I'm an electrician so I like simple solutions to my hobby. If I didn't go simple I'd make them into actual screw in light bulbs 😂🤣😂.. Which can 100% be done. Just need the same led type bread board minus the battery contact and soldering experience..along with an actual socket base. Either way, I would love to see non flower/glitter fills to these things. Also alcohol ink.

yes you would want bubbles on the diver especially, but when you want bubs you dont get them and vise versa, great the screw light was going to also ask on the last video but here we see how TY

Those are very cool, especially with the underwater theme although I do like the flowers too. Questions: 1. Are they able to be screwed into an actual lamp socket to mimic an electric light? 2. Is it possible to use an electric source for lighting so that you could use them for outdoor lighting with a string of lights, sort of in the sense of Christmas lights/ nothing high voltage. On a different note 3. I am just starting with resin and have no designated “isolated” area. Are there odorless resins that are safe to use without a respirator? Other videos imply there are and I see some tutorials where the person isn’t using a respirator or gloves. Are they being foolish? 4. I’m intrigued by the pressure pot. How did you decide which one to buy? Does it have to be kept outside the house? Thanks Steve, I am learning a lot and enjoy your videos. I might even get brave enough to use casting resin soon. So far I have only attempted a very small project with UV resin. It didn’t come out well. I didn’t leave it under the light as long as I was supposed to.

The clarity of the resin is perfect. Please make more with various things inside! Also- do the bottoms of these fit into a light socket? If they do is there a chance of someone getting an electric shock from them? If there is you might need to put a warning on them if selling at craft shows and on line. Take care!

They should start using these bulbs to "communicate with ghosts" in paranormal investigation shows instead of flashlights. p.s. I love how the bubbles on the scuba diver seem intentionally placed!

Hi great idea which I will definitely be using. Can you also show different ideas to make stands for them. I'd like something that uses the bulbs which come with the moulds or small string lights. All the ones being sold separately all seem to have lights in them which I dont want. Thanks for all your help. X

Yet another excellent tutorial by you Steve. Thank you again. I was thinking perhaps use a small line of hot glue to attach them. Would still be easy enough to twist it off to replace the batteries. Then you could simply reheat the glue and stick it back on. I have a request. Would you please make a tutorial using the Domino storage box mold and assembly. I bought the rectangle box mold and got it poured, but could not figure out how to put the thing together. Also it would be great if you could come up with a bigger size Domino box for the thicker, slightly bigger Domino's, that would be even better! Thanks again Steve.

Just search Amazon for resin domino molds & they should pop up. There are at least 2 different types, both of which make a rectangular box, one has tabs or notches, the other one has smooth edges. I have the later one. I watched how to videos on KZfaq, but they don't have your talent for teaching. Love your tutorials.

Thanks for the update! I'll have to use tape on the top of mine because my mold doesn't go up far enough to be able to use screws. Can't remember where I got my mold from, but the top is shorter. I'll have to buy a new set

LOVE the info on adapting the light bulbs! I was wondering.... can you use a regular store bought light bulb and coat the bulb with transparent resin with glitter or stars or whatever you like?????? Would love to see a video to see if the heat from the light bulb while on would react with the resin coating.

This is a great idea. I made my first bulbs but did not pour the resin in far enough so there is nowhere to put the cap. Thanks for sharing your idea. What size screw did you use?

I'm very curious if you have tried surfboard epoxy resin apparently it's quite a good resin I didn't know if it's something you've tried and if you have what was your opinion on it

How long do the bulbs stay on if left to sit? I’ve read they only stay on for 30 seconds and then turn off automatically. I’m not asking how long battery lasts at one go, just if they really do turn themselves off so quickly? THANK YOU!

Hi i been making my resin in the garden on a table , and i been storing my resin work in a container box and leaving it in the garden with a blanket wrapped around it . But its not curing because its cold in london . Is there any advise you can give me for storing my work to cure . I have kids in my house and no free space so i dont want to let it cure in tbe house

I tried doing one of the bulbs and it overheated. Which it shouldn't have (I mixed correctly and it was still cool). I've noticed anything I do that's more dense (blocks, pyramids, spheres), they overheat. Has anyone else had this issue and how do you work around it?
