They always come back when you ignore them and start developing on yourself. They see the new you and want the new you except you may not want the old "them". This builds your new ego.

@@topgunner1962 I can assure you she didn't forget you. I don't know your details but she probably thinks of you often, you can't forget 3 yrs just like that. Keep working on yourself, if she does reach out you want her to see how much you improved. Even if you don't want her back by that time, it will feel good, success is the best revenge. But don't give yourself false hope, try to move on, figure out the things you didn't like about her and don't beat yourself up, not everything is your fault. If she cared enough, she would try to work things up. Even if she comes back, after a while you probably won't want her back because of what she did to you (by leaving you and not contacting you. At least I think it will be like that in my case) My relationship was 4.5 yrs, I started fresh NC 2 days ago (previous 3 weeks NC she reached out once + christmas + new yrs). She just deleted my last photo on her insta. She doesn't hate me, I think she wants to be friends but knows it's not possible. I'm again at a bad place atm, can't focus on anything, but I hope it gets better. Her contacting you will only regress your progress. It kinda did in my case. Working on yourself, meeting new people, being more communicative and improving self confidence should be our main focus. And friends and gym. We don't want someone who doesn't want us in their lives.

Exactly. She valued and respected herself to not put herself in such a crazy situation. She probably had no respect for him and thought he could possibly do the same to her if they got together. What really is upsetting is how his girlfriend, who was good to him, probably had no idea about him wanting this lady, and he could remain with his gf while also pursuing this lady, and his gf did not know anything about it. His gf was being treated like an option and had no clue. That’s dirty.

I'm still confused. Why would a 40 yr old man not realize that this woman has her own agenda that just doesn't include him? I find that most men have "mommy issues", but being mature in age, perhaps he should have a loving & respectful conversation with his mother to resolve those issues. He's definitely old enough to conclude that 'mom' also has trauma from her childhood that spilled over into her parenting style. It sounds as if he understands he's views aren't healthy. Perhaps a little intense therapy addressing his wounded inner child is in order...? I pray this man is able to find resolution, that he may better enjoy his 'Golden Years'. And to my 2 favorite coaches, keep 'em coming...I love hearing your advice!

he is the rude and disrespectful person in this story! the woman treated him badly because he had a girlfriend and still came after her. i am generally disgusted at guys that chase me while having a girlfriend. if they treat the women who love them that disrespectfully, they will treat me as badly...no sympathy for such behavior.

For me, unfortunately, sometimes that’s just not going to happen because that person doesn’t have any morals or he/she never really had feelings. It’s more liberating to just let go and have comfort in the idea that you are going to be fine while they are going to be miserable as long as they continue to behave this way.

Julia M, I agree. There's a chance they will never regret although I sincerely believe that regretting wrong actions and bad behaviours is the first step for self-criticism and self-development. It's not only a payback for whoever once was left behind but also a gift for the person itself who mistreated them.

Georgia Papadopoulou you are right however I think that some people are not capable to such a growth. Maybe it’ll take years for them to realize that, but in such a case waiting for that moment is punishing yourself. I truly believe that it is ok to break up with someone you don’t truly love but some people do it all wrong and hurt you so much in the process.

Hi Coach. Been watching your videos for about 3 weeks and finally subscribed. What a godsend your videos have been. My ex broke up with me 6 months ago and like so many others watching your videos it hurts to the depths of my soul. However, each month she had reached out with small morsels of indirect/direct contact. The last two contacts have increase in duration and today I discovered she had unblocked me on Facebook. I have been a student of the personal growth described in your videos and done everything you said even when it felt as if my heart would break into a million pieces. Thank you Coach for being there when the tears overwhelm me and I could not catch my breath.

My ex of 4 months has already moved in with another man. We have two children under 8 together. Its devastating. After two months no contact accept for business with kids, she is adding little extra things to the messages like stickers and telling me how she's waiting on her man to get home....he's late....and such.... She even caressed my back when i was holding our baby girl when i picked them up the other day. I know she is beginning to see how i am the wayyyy better option. She's alredy moved in though and has feel she has to try to make this one work so she doesnt look bad now. I can see it falling apart. Im staying no contact and continuing working on myself. I already quit drinking and smoking. Im back with the Lord also. Things for me are growing exponentially. She's watching me grow too and wont be long now till she realizes i am gone and moving on.

My boyfriend broke up with me a month ago on a silly argument. He blamed it all on my short temper. I apologised for a week. But all he has yet been doing is making me feel as if I've hurt him. We are away due to the lockdown. We were even great during a long distance . We used to be super excited to meet up, and video call. Things have changed. He didn't even have the courage to speak on the call. He hasn't taken my calls till date. He has ended it all on whatsapp. He hasnt tried contacting me, he hasn't blocked me either, just replies to my messages on the sms and blames it all on me. What do I do ? I feel hurt, he would make me feel like a princess, and doesn't even bother anymore. I wish he had at least spoken to me

I am working on myself and believe me his absent each day makes me work harder and harder.It is his loss if he does not come back into my orbit... and some days I feel I do not want him back. How I wished my ex-girlfriend could have spoken with Craig when she was attracted to the other man. This other man is very manipulative and I don't think he'll be good for her. We had a loving, supportive and wonderful relationship but I couldn't get my life together so I think she felt insecure. The guy she left me for has a career, a house and money, he's also 17 years older than her.

I’ve encountered some people with the same flawed logic and it always sends up huge red flags. Run...fast and far! He shouldn’t focus on showing her how well he’s doing. Lesson learnt is, it‘s probably not the best idea ignoring somebody in a long-distance relationship. No you are not dying. You are stronger than you think. I am 73 yrs old now. My first husband left me.for another woman after 12 yrs married and 3 liitle boys. Thought I would die. I didn't. Met another man a wonderful guy was in a relationship with him for 8 yrs. He dropped.dead suddenly.when we were on vacation. I thought I would die. I didn't . I later met a wonderful man, we married and had 25 yrs together he died suddenly of a heart attack. I thought I would die. I didn't. I eventually had an relationship with a man who I grew to love and stil do but it didn't work out. Now I am alone with memories of the joys and sorrows of loving and I didn't die and neither will you. You learn to live through the pain because we woman are stronger than we imagine. Now I love my Chihuahuas and to heck with men. They either walk out on you or die.

So we learn empathy from our mothers? makes sense do daughters learn it from their fathers? That would also make sense, my ex had a cold detached father and stepfather so this would explain her lack of empathy. I don't know why I even miss her, because I guess it is the way she is over thoughtful to her newest guy she goes out of her way to show me how happy she is with him, I can only interpret that as she is telling me she still has feelings for me otherwise why would she do that? It seems contrived she texts me 5 times a day I don't even know why I still t5hink I feel for her.

I had the same situation, except I hurt him too because he didn’t value/respect me. Do you still advise me to find him and show him how awesome I am? I thought I should just leave it. There is too much to repair and he is avoidant. I’m deeply hurt.

We were together for 2 1/2 years with the last year being on and off. We got on really well, never argued at all. Very chilled out together. Can't understand why he broke up said we had an amazing connection, intense chemistry, I was wonderful etc.Said I was out of his league. He had another girl on the go when he sent me a breakup email (GIGS). Didn't last. I told him he was scared and had low self esteem. Thats 5 times he has viewed my profile in the last 2 months. Last time was 5 days ago. Every 2 1/2-3 weeks. Gone no contact - 79 days now. Sent me a text on new years eve. And it was a single '.' that was it. And viewed my profile 1 hour beforehand. Miss him so much.
