Thank you John. As a beginner hobby woodworker, it's priceless having videos and ideas of such a high standard to refer to and learn from. I don't normally comment on videos, and I'm sure there are many out there like me who just watch and learn. Just so you know, your work is always appreciated :)

Cut the parts last night and built mine today between other projects. Got tired of reaching under the table to manually turn the router up. Can't wait to install the lift tomorrow. Thanks John! I REALLY dig your videos/channels. Keep'em coming!!!!!!!!

Ive never built much out of wood except subwoofer enclosures a d drawer systems for tge back of SUVs. I bought these plans last night and except for a needed trip to the hardware store for a couple odds and ends, youve made a carpenter out of a journeyman ironworker over night, lol! Thanks, the entire garage is covered in sawdust and i havent slept in nearly 20 hours ive had so much fun i worked til the suns come up:)

I'll will make this routerlift by myself. It's an easy project and the best part is that it's very accurate. Besides that, all parts are already in my shop and I have three routers which i can use one for this project which I hardly use anymore.

Tip ... to plumb the bit, lower the lift until router base rests on the table, loosen the carriage tightening screws, install bit, retighten screws and raise to needed height. This seemed to plumb the bit for me. After the build, did first mortise test cuts. With 1/4 inch bit, Set fence 12.25mm from front edge of bit, made 15mm deep, 40mm long mortise. Measuring the block of wood with digital calipers, the mortise far edge to wood edge was exactly 12.25. This seems to be very accurate when your table is level, fence and bit are plumb.

Very good, John. All the parts seem very simple shapes cut from plywood and the hardware is easily obtainable. If that was part of your design criteria then that was very smart. It makes this project highly accessible. The price is very fair too.

I recently bought the plans. It all went together perfectly. Got it done in just one day! Because I live in Europe I had to use 12mm plywood. The only thing that didn't fit was the wooden block with the t-nut because of the difference in width between half inch plywood and 12mm plywood. But with a little bit of sanding it eventually worked out. Thanks, John! Oh by the way, on page 10 of your plans, the pieces labeled C1 & C2, aren't that piece D1 & D2?

John that's a nice looking lift. Can I use Pine to build it or Poplar; those are the easiest woods to find here. I want to build that lift and I don't want it to ware out in a year or two because I used a poor choice of woods. Let me say thanks for your building it on KZfaq and making it possible for the rest of us to get the plans and build it. God Bless my friend.

Definitely want to avoid solid wood for this build, it comes and goes too much with seasonal humidity changes and will bind up. Best plywood you can find is what I recommend. Baltic birch or apple ply is best.

I wonder why you chose 3.5 rise for 5 run for the inclined plane? It doesn't result in nice rounded number of lift per turn. If anyone is doing metric version with M10, making the right hole in part A 117.4mm from top instead of 121 will result in exactly 1mm of router lift per full turn.
