Hi friends happy Monday!
Hope you guys are staying safe out there!! Today I wanted to lightly talk about Ted Bundy and his whole mess. This video could easily be two hours long with all the information that is out there, but I just wanted to keep it pretty straight forward and not get lost in all the extra stuff.
Thank you guys for all the love you send my way, it means more than you know and I cant say thank you enough. I hit 800k which is absolutely insane to me and if I think about it too much, it freaks me out because that’s a lot of eyeballs. ahaha. Anyway, thank you, it really means a lot and I cant say thank you enough.
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section and who I should talk about next week! Have a wonderful rest of your day and please please please be safe out there. Stay inside PLEASE
x o

There actually is a survivor who said Ted took her in his car and told her he was kidnapping her when he saw she cut her hair the day prior, when they had first met. He yelled at her and asked her why she cut her hair then yelled at her and told her to get out of the car. She says her cutting her hair saved her life.

there’s a lady on my street who was a victim of Ted’s. she has taken her experience as an opportunity to teach girls self defense & the warning signs. she is now married, has four kids, leading to fifteen grandchildren. she is such a sweet woman & it breaks my heart when she is pacing in her house at 1am, as she still has nightmares.

Most of the time he would have a sling or cast and be on campus with a stack of books and someone would approach him before he asked for help. When you do that it feels like her idea. Most women are somewhat maternal by nature and just want to help someone who looks like they need it.

*Crazy story:* My grandma was almost a victim of Ted Bundy. I don't know the whole story, but basically she was staying at a hotel alone (Either in Cali or Utah). She saw a guy outside from her window and didn't think much of it. A little later she gets a knock on her door claiming to be room service. She never ordered room service, so she called down to the front desk to ask if they had sent anyone, and they claimed they did not. Years later she sees that Ted Bundy is arrested, and recognized his face as the man who was outside the hotel. My grandma was a smart cookie, and I'm so thankful she didn't open that hotel door.

So, fun fact: My Mom was an officer in Tallahassee Florida when Ted Bundy was playing silly buggers in 1978. She was actually in the office when he was captured and brought into the station. She actually locked eyes with him and he smiled at her. She said that even after over 30 years on the force, coming into contact with really awful people who had done really awful things, nobody ever creeped her out the way he did. "There was just nothing there behind his eyes. Totally cold. Even with dozens of guns around and a plate-glass window between us, I didn't feel safe when he looked at me." Super creepy stuff!

Before Ted Bundy abducted and killed poor Kimberly Leach, Ted attempted to abduct a 14 year old, he pulled up to her and started talking to her, but before he could do anything else her brother pulled up and scared Ted away, glad she survived atleast. I'm not saying I totally disagree with you buuut hindsight is 20/20 and it's easy for us to say that, that's definitely what we would've done now. But as someone who has been in physically and mentally abusive relationships with people who had blatant warning signs, I know firsthand how when you love someone and truly think you know said person, the line of what is and isn't acceptable and normal becomes murky at best. I mean, I certainly hope and honestly think I would've left him on the spot after making such a discovery but it's dangerously easy for the mind to rationalize the irrational when it's seeing a person/situation through rose tinted glasses.

My dad actually believes he met ted Bundy. His girlfriend at the time went grocery shopping and was approached by a man in a cast asking her to help him carry his groceries to his car. She helped him and later that night my dad and his girlfriend were sitting on the couch watching tv and the door opened and the man was there. My dad stood up thinking his girlfriend was cheating on him because the first thing she said was “wheres your cast?” The man ran out and drove off in his car. They actually broke up because of it and a few years later he saw Ted on the news and swears it was him. What he thinks now is that Ted followed her after she helped him out and waited till dark to get to her.

He almost got my mom. She had no idea that this guy was Ted Bundy until the movie came out a few years ago and it showed pictures of him and his car. He pulled up beside her as she was walking home. He asked her if she could show him where some street was but she didnt know the street. Then he started talking quietly and when she moved closer to hear him he smiled at her. She said that it was the creepiest look she had ever seen and she backed away. He started to get out of the car and a police cruiser turned down the street and he jumped back in and took off. She did say that if he would have said a street name that she recognized she probably would have gotten in. She used to tell us about this situation when we were young girls as a warning because she always thought if he hadn't been up to something shady then he wouldn't have drove away when he saw the police. When she realized it was Ted Bundy years and years later she flipped. Oh and she never paid attention to anything about the case before the movie because stuff like that always scared her so bad.

Told her he was an off duty cop and she didnt have to worry-flashed that same chill your blood smile you were talking about. She said he put his hand ok n the door like he was gonna get out, and she put her hand in her purse. Said, I SAID NO THANK YOU. Luckily- he put his car in drive and sped off as another car started coming up the road and pulled off with 2 women and a man in the car. She had just found out she was pregnant with her 1st baby so that mom instinct we get probably kicked in.

This man didn’t use an alias because he honestly thought he was smarter than everyone around him. He felt that he’d be able to talk his way out of anything even if the authorities ended up looking into him. And, he was ultimately hoisted by his own petard.

I live down the street from Ted Bundy’s childhood home, AND my neighbor is best friends with Ted’s brother. I met him and he’s actually super sweet, literally the opposite of his brother. edit: I just remembered that literally everyone in Tacoma has/had some sort of experience with Ted. For example, my great uncle went to High School and College with him. (if you’re wondering, Wilson High School and the University of Washington) and he actually tried to be friends with him multiple times, but he didn’t like friends. edit 2: you actually said Issaquah and Samamish right : )

I was watching Caitlin Dohety's "Ask a Moritician" channel on You Tube and she had a video about the remains of Charles Manson. There were pictures of some of Manson's male relatives who had beards and wore their hair like his, clearly trying to look their notorious relative. If I was related to Manson or someone like him there is no way I would try to resemble that person.

fancifulimpression wait... WHAT? I do know that he had fan girls that would show up at the Dade County courthouse. He was charming, charismatic, and a complete PSYCHOPATH. I didn’t think it was still a thing after we all knew the monster he really was. Funny... you don’t see the same type of fans for Jeffrey Dahmer; even though Bundy was way worse than Dahmer could ever dream of being.

My grandmother was in the Seattle area when Ted Bundy was active. She was his type- In her early twenties, with long brown hair. My grandmother says she saw him on the street one day when she was shopping with a friend. My grandmother and her friend (also in her early twenties with brown hair) were unnerved by him, and that's why she remembers so clearly. When the news broke about him my grandma was convinced she could have been a victim had she been alone that day.

My mom was at FSU when Bundy attacked the girls at the Chi Omega sorority house. She, too, was living in her sorority house, and they sent members of the football team to stand guard at the other sorority houses on that street to protect the girls. It was the one time my mom's sorority house had left their back door unlocked and Bundy had to cut through the backyard to get to where the Chi O house used to be. When I went to FSU, it was kinda strange to see girls wearing shirts that said "Chi O till I die O" around campus, and it made me remember my mom telling me about being at school when it happened.
