i still have not cut my transaxle shaft short. i can put reg size front tires on . . making it a 4x4 . it looks cool like that but i never have driven it like that to see if they help me ..

So totally like I was planning for the Ford YT16 4x6 and potential snowmobile tread adaption when I was brainstorming doing that though for independent suspension of the back axles. Fricken awesome! Interesting, though I don't really know much regarding, my one rare seeming Murry Lawn Chief has something like this design stock. I forget if axles come out both sides or only one and I believe that's stock. Now that I think about, I wasn't doing KZfaq for that stuff back then, so never really made a KZfaq video detailing that one since really only got for the oppie and snow blade with custom subframe assembly.

Totally neat, keep em coming Neal! Seems like I made drawings since I measured for the radius where the pain in the rear for the independent suspension was the pivot point if not on the transaxle axle itself to keep the distance the same when changing height over bumps on the rearest. Otherwise, seems simple from what I view, with the other more exactly like you're doing with the axle though for the ladder bars I guess we will call front mount point needing like an idler pulley tensioner otherwise so more crap to design in. OK, I have to get off this computer and get back to work so can wrap up planting work and get to some garden tractor projects now the weather has gotten crazy warm here.

thats kind of what i did. but i have outboard bearings on my transmission axle and the output shaft. and i run a long swing arm 1 1/4 axle. with limiting chains and 4 chain tighteners so i have reverse . you have to be pretty crafty to have reverse on a chain drive swing arm. remember your first chain drive, i always wished you finished that . i got a hydro twin lawn machines im doing next. i working on a rer with a 212 and converter. .to ride around town

Change the spindle all you have to do my tractor Craftsman T240 turn tight has a Kohler 7000 series 22 horsepower 725cc V Twin engine I was thinking about doing that but Changed my mind it already moves a 6 mile an hour it's fast enough for mowing

Wouldn't dual chains so one on each side, be a better setup so it balances everything out. Also, cut the axles but also grind a small key way in, so you are not just relying on the welds.
