I watched a video by KZfaq creator Aikaba Craft and Tools called Making a Snakewood Wa Handle. He inspired me to believe I could do it too. This stretched my comfort zone that I would try and do it for a Gyoto blade I wanted to make for my best friend.
I didn't film any of it to begin with because I was too scared to fail. Well, that is what this channel is all about, so I tried to film the making of the handle. I did fail, then tried to fix it.
I hope you find it interesting and you will learn something through mistakes.
100% credit to Aikaba Craft and Tools for the inspiration. He also very kindly gave me permission to film my fabrication of his brilliantly simple jig for sanding the chamfers on the hexagonal and octagonal handles. I don't think I do him justice, but it's a start.
