As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement kzfaq.infoUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

Love the door 👍I built a covered front porch and used clear redwood 6x6 columns.. I got the same response when I painted them.. I used redwood because it handle rot well.. love your channel no BS 👍😊

That’s an extremely well built door, looks great. I have to admit I would have rather you didn’t paint it and just used something like an exterior hard wax oil instead but I see why you did it. And I appreciate it, anyway the main thing is the comforting fact that there is a super solid durable wood underneath which will last decades

I agree with you Joey, if in the end you are satisfied with what you have made and got your time's worth, it's a job well done! We're not always entitled to do the most beautiful thing for everyone's pleasure, to each their own! Great work as always! Cheers
I made sapele door a few years back. Watching your video gave me a great sense of satisfaction- in that I used many of the same techniques. It was my first exterior door build. Everything i did was self taught. Some skill and a lot of luck on my end. Very brittle wood is right.Anyway. Fantastic job! Thank you.

i dont know if this will help but I had a similar problem with a matched router bit set and it turned out my router was set slightly crooked in the table. i put a 1/2" rod in the router and at a foot above the table it was 3/16" out of square. this was enough to mess up the match. after shimming to square the bits worked perfectly

Seems like the router bit would have had an easier life if u had removed the bulk of waste on the bandsaw first ?? (Tenons) Or would that have slowed the job down... & was time important ?... i.e. are u in "production mode" here ?? 🙄 Nice vid... reminds me of working with my dad in a cabinet-making shop as a 15y.o. kid... sapele was as common as muck here ( in Ireland ) back then 😂 (60y.o. now)

I said “ew” out loud when I saw you pound in hardware store grade dowels into a mahogany door. You gotta pound them in beneath the surface, and plug them with grain matched face grain plugs. EDIT: nvm it got painted. That is a true tragedy. I would’ve protested that to the bitter end.
