Hi everyone, in this video I use a few one-way gears and a cheap amazon reciprocating saw to "electrify" and motor, my bicycle. This electric bike is more like a "pedal assist" bike because the cheap reciprocating saw is very weak!

Brilliant! I really enjoy your sense of humor, not to mention your mad skills! I have a background in mechanics, but unfortunately, since I’ve retired, I think up projects, and that’s about as far as they go: thoughts! Great to see people actually DOING something with their ideas, no matter how crazy they may seem to be!

Thanks for the comment, Bryan! Sharing the idea on youtube is a good motivator for me to actually do the project

Hey Oliver ! I just had stumbled on ypur videos and they crack me up , you got that warped sense of humor that I find funny ! Your a mad scientist! I like your videos cuz they have mistakes which we all make when trying to create things that's how you learn. Stay cool and try not to set yourself on fire ! 🔥🤣

I think treadmill motors are more suited, even though it's outside the scope. They have fan cooling the stator and rotor, then are DC permanent magnet, they are commonly 1000W+ They also come with a big heavy steel or cast weight on them that you could "machine" into a pulley, or weld to the teeny pulley that comes on them. Treadmills are common dump finds :)

Wow & very entertaining. But seriously, you need a crank freewheel for the pedals so your feet can remain stationery or you can pedal. Check out the "shift kits" for motorized bikes for ideas. I have one on an motorized bike kit that I converted into a shifter. You are on the right path.
@OliverMotorized9 ай бұрын
I was thinking of ways to do that for this project but didn't realize they make a kit for it!

iN STEAD OF THOSE TWO WAY BEARINGS YOU CAN 1) GET A BATERIED CIRCULAR SAW AN YOULL HAVE A HORIZONTAL SHAFT LIKE A NORMAL DIRT BIKE OR 2) TAKE THE ATTACHMENT HEAD OFF A ANGLE GRINDER, ITS LIKE A 90DEGREE GEAR BOX AN RUN THAT ON YOUR SAWZALL MOTOR! IT MAKES A VERTICAL SHAFT ABLE TO HOOK UP TO A NORMAL SPROKET JUST LOOK AT A ANGLE GRINDER YOULL SEE IT! JUST A TIP FOR FUTURE BUILDS GBYAA!!!!!!!!!!!
