I feel like drumming should be considered a sport
@bluddyguy4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Even more so in a recording session when you have to play consistently. Right down to how you hit the drums. The ability to stay "in the moment" is absolutely a talent that very few people have.

dude if nascar and golf are sports drumming definitely is
@Big_C_42054 жыл бұрын
Yeah, drummers don’t get enough credit. It’s reeeeeaaaaalllyy hard work. It’s fun, but there will always be nitpicking of their playing. Ugh.

Black heart with a gaping wound, put back together by a troubled groove. Is now shattered into a million pieces. My thoughts and prayers go out to Taylor's wife, kids, band mates and of course my fellow Foo Fans. Gods added another percussionist to his All star band. Neil Peart, Keith Moon and now Taylor Hawkins. Long Live Rock, be it dead or alive!

Have now watched this countless times over the last 9 years. Is probably one of the best (my favorite at least) recordings of Taylor in his element, just doing what he does best. Geez I miss this guy. I love how he is looking back down the hallway at either Dave or Butch when he does his fills - love how he shrugs off the one he 'messes up' and the one where he knows he has nailed it - where he spins and points his drumstick. The chemistry of these guys was awesome - I love the addition of Josh Freese, but there will only ever be one Taylor Hawkins and the Foo's sound the way they do because of him.
