Making Ruined Coin Rings into a Silver Cuff Bracelet

10 ай бұрынCheck out my website www.changeyoucanwear.net! I love making coin rings. But what I live even more is taking the silver scraps from coin ring making and creating something brand new. This week I decided to take my 90% silver scrap and add a bit of pure silver to it in order to make a sterling silver cuff bracelet. I used a ingot mold, rolling mill and sander from Pepe tools. Just a few key tools like those opens up an entire world of possibilities.

Thanks! It is a diamond infused burr. I’m not sure the exact name but it makes a really nice texture.

May I ask what kind of flux you are sprinkling in your silver melting crucible? Also, you can get a stainless steel chafing dish from a restaurant supply store fairly cheaply that makes a good quench bucket and you don't have to worry about melting through the bottom of it. Thanks for all the videos that you make!

I’m just using a borax flux that I got from a jewelry supply house. Yeah a metal quenching dish would be a great idea! I always seem to use whatever’s on hand at the moment lol

Definitely! I got it from Pepe tools. A few years ago they gave me a discount code for rolling mills but I think it still works for most things. Feel free to check it out in my description box. Hopefully it saves you a few bucks if you want one :)
