I make my own pizza all the time. Another tip is to use Bread Flour 550 there is more gluten in this flour. The Kitchenaid with the bread hook was correct but when you have that bulk that is not spread evenly in the bowl it will bounce a little. Normal

Okay phew! We did double the recipe, so next time maybe we'll just split up the dough so it doesn't take as long or bounce around as much 😊 Thanks for the tips!

the kitchenaid has a lever on the side hat locks the tilting head down...that helps out with the bouncing around....i hope you will do some more videos in your neck of the woods

1 thing I miss about living in IL or MO is being able to buy liquor in the grocery show. In NC they have Alcohol beverage Control stores. Yes you need that dough hook for breads. 1 you need to lock it into place 2 there is a pin in the neck sometimes it starts to pop out, just push it back in.

pizza dough tip: lightly grease hands/fingers with unsalted butter when mixing and pressing into shape

My old italian pizza guy used to sprinkle some live oil on his pizzas he had a few different flavored ones. olive oil with herbs and a few spicy ones. A spicy one on a salami onion pizza is awsome. Sadly he retired and I can't get anything even close to his pizzas anywhere near where I live , it is annoying to get pizza withdrawals :)

I recently attempted my own pizza but I wasn't happy with it. I might just have to try this skillshare thing out! and yay! always fun when you have Matt there lol last vid I saw of him tho was his own...scared the crap outta me playing that scary VR game LOL Happy new year! glad to see new vids :)

I make pizza all the time with my food processor. Julia Child suggested it and it works great. Your pizza looked amazing. Gotta try using the tomatoes that were suggested.

Haha, thankfully nope! I was really scared I was going to knock it off the pan melt it to pieces, but luckily there were no equipment casualties that day (well, other than the flour fiasco 😊)

What is the mix for the dough? Looks like some flour, some water and some instant yeast. How much of each. Then refrigerate for 10-24 hours. Then add more flour (how much)? Then mix and let sit for an hour. Little help?

San Marzano are a type of tomato like Roma, beefsteak, etc. The fire roasted is a flavor. I think the recipe probably just wanted you to buy San Marzano tomatoes plain but it seems like you enjoyed it anyway.

The two of you are awesome, I am glad I am not the only person that thinks cocktails are a good idea whilst cooking. Are you planning to meet back up with Nikita any time soon? Pizza stone is not a vital thing to have, as long as you can get your oven really hot you will have a decent enough pizza

Lol. I did guess red hair = Allison's family. The pizzas look good, I may try that recipe. The weather there looks like parts of the UK at the moment (Eric and Allison are in big coats again) :-)

The Endless Adventure I thought it was my tablet but got same on laptop, it's like a line down the middle of the vlog about a third in from the right where the colour definition changes. Allison's jumper looks Half burgandy and half violet in the first part of the vlog
