very nice work but that cut down the blade is the Achilles tendon for the blade 6:55 if a blow is very powerful the shock will travel there an brake the blade don't do that

I need to say this, even though I know you will never see this comment. Your Kukri is a thing of sheer beauty. The profile is so perfect it instantly reminded me of my grandpa, who fought with the Gurkhas in WW2. He remained great friends with his Gurkha unit into his last years and he passed fifteen odd years ago. I had one of his battle Kukris until I lost it in a home invasion where I lost a lot of other important stuff. Your Kukri is so beautiful it literally brought me to tears. One day I’ll be proud to own a knife that has that FZ stamp

Beautiful kukri. There are two so very satisfying moments for me in your videos: When you knock the crucible open and reveal the puck. And when the finished blade shows the patter when coming out of the acid. Thanks for sharing!

Did you measure the hardness of the knives and swords you made from crucible steel? What is the degree of hardness? We want to see the weight and endurance test. Has the cast turned into steel?

BTW, did you test brittleness of your blades? I mean they have higher carbon content. They must be more brittle...

The Kukri looks really nice but I wonder why you did not forge in the bevels at a little. there was plenty of steel there to forge them in. Just seems to be a waist to remove all that steel in grinding.

how do you decide how much carbon you add to the crucible? it seems counter intuitive to add carbon to the steel you use yet i see it in every video.

Do you take orders at all cause I have some scrap steel from a fuel line I wouldn't mind making a weapon out of especially since I have so much of it?

Not all a steel is hardenable. The only reason this works as a knife is the powdered steel added to the crucible. The chain is junk essentially.
