I noticed that everything was an excuse or in passive voice. Not 'I started drinking again' but 'I relapsed', not 'I drove drunk' but 'I ended up driving while intoxicated', not 'I ate weed gummis' but 'I thought they were CBD.' No taking responsibility, no admitting he made bad decisions.

Good for this judge. My daughter had a drug problem and had warrants in 4 states. They just kept baybing her. What got her clean was 3.5 years in jail. And she's been clean for 2 years and doing well.

By the way, unless she got intensive recovery and IS STILL ACTIVE in recovery, she will relapse. Don't pat yourself on your back. She's abstinent, not sober....like 90% of addicts who get clean in prison. She will relapse. Encourage her to go to every bit of programming she can.

Rudolph and those like him are martyrs in their own minds. His lack of respect is preschool childishness. Even a first grader learns that raising your hand doesn't allow you to bark at the teacher. You wait until you're called on and speak civilly. The judge has a lot of restraint. In an actual court room he would be removed and be held in contempt by most judges.

🚩Mr. Rudolph seems like he is most likely on the spectrum & has never been diagnosed. He falls into the probability range of never having sought a diagnosis or treatment because his autism makes him unaware of _having autism._ There are too many people in his age bracket that have had a lifetime of struggle simply due to the catch-22 described above, & have simply been labeled "troublemakers", "loud", "assholes" most of their lives without ever understanding why. Just another sad example of the severe lack of _real_ help & assistance for those suffering with varying degrees of mental health issues, especially in the United States. God Bless & Protect these struggling folks.🙏🏻🕊️💔

@@janicefarmer2387I'm a bit older as well, 54 and have lived all over the country, including the south (which I miss very much). In general, no matter what region I was living, people never used to behave anywhere close to the way they do now, be it in court or anywhere else. It's absolutely appalling. Defiant, rude, selfish, lack of self awareness, no accountability and having "main character syndrome". There's reasons it's become this way, primarily being a complete lack of discipline and accountability at home, school and the judicial system. Then add in the negative influence of what they see and hear on social media and the "entertainment" they watch and listen to. The outside influences are so numerous and strong, it often no longer matters if someone was raised right in a good home, with love and dicipline. It's incredibly sad to see and unfortunately its only going to get worse.

Nor does it give the right to make demands, or make threats, or anything that incites riots. I hope he gets held in contempt and loses the chance to get off probation early. Then again, I think he already lost it. She should have held that nut job in contempt.

I just don't understand why people say they relapsed as if they were just walking down the street and a rock fell on their head. A better way to state it is 'I decided to use again'.

This judge allows chaos and belligerent behavior in her court room. She needs to stop these idiots from speaking over her. Lawyers going in front of her are probably aware of how she handles a court room, and see her diminished abilities.

So the first guy is broke and wants less jail time after getting arrested 3 times for DUI and he is using marijuana. He has money for MJ and booze! Next DUI may come with a fatality and I hate drunk drivers especially after the carnage I’ve seen from drunk drivers as a medic. One was killed. He should go to jail! For someone who wants to be left alone by the court, he certainly behaved in a way that would get him even more embroiled with them. He’s clearly lost his mind because no sane person behaves this way, anywhere. His mom must have been pretty aggravated hearing him yell that loud from his room.

I have seen her hold 1 defendant in contempt, but only after several threats over a few hearings.
