An in-depth test of Luba's AWD on a beautiful but brutal property featuring steep hills, mud and very strong grass.
I was blown away by the navigation and cutting performance of Luba, having tried to cut this in the past with a couple of different perimeter-wire mowers.

I think this is the most informative, real life review I've come across. We sure have special conditions local to NZ and the past year has certainly been even more challenging with all the rain, which did make mowing a real challenge. I think you need to start reviewing everything in NZ!

Blown away by how well the Luba managed this lawn and not having any wires is a game! How awesome it would be to have an extra 2-3 hours back every weekend. I might even enjoy watching the grass grow! Way to go Luba.

It's just amazing how good the technology is getting now. I was blown away when I upgraded from a "dumb" vacuum with the magnetic strip barriers to a roborock S7. The idea of having to map a property with the current mowers using the perimeter wire seemed like a "dumb" solution and was wondering how long it was going to take before robotic mowers made the jump. The Luba is truly an amazing bit of kit. Might not be as challenged in Australia with lush green grass like you are blessed with there in NZ. Thanks for the fantastic review!!

If you're there most weekends this will be awesome, but it's not quite to the point where you can leave it very long periods without any interaction (might need your help once a week or so if set-up right)

This would be absolutely epic for our property! I didn't realise there were beasts out there as good as this that can mow steep terrain, large sections, with quite long grass! Super impressive and looks absolutely amazing!

I've been watching a few videos of this robo mower and I'm getting more impressed all the time. This video has put the Luba through the worst conditions I've seen so far. Look forward too see a follow up video of what the lawn looks like in the future.

What we’ve been needing in NZ for so long and more affordable than other robotic mowers currently available. Love the fact that upgrades can be downloaded through wifi and that reprogramming cut zones is a breeze. 4:48

Love how smart it is too and the safety features means pets and kids can happily play while it does its thing. Robotic mowers just make sence, whether you cant do it for whatever reason or just want a few hours to do other things, they seem like a great thing going forward

The Luba looks incredible! I love that it was tested in real-world conditions - and still performed with incredible precision and left the lawn looking perfect. I love the patterns it leaves. It has great cutting power and does a far better job than I could do. I'd so love to win a Luba, please!

Amazing looking robot mower, and very impressed with how it figures out the boundaries of the property. Always been put off by the fly by wire versions because of the hassle of laying out the wire and the aesthetics of that 👌

Looks great. Seems to work really well in the wet - which is a real test where I live. Love the fact it doesn't need a wire also - a lot less effort to set up. These have been my 2 greatest concern with robot mowers in the past. Cheers.

Great to see the endurance and tough-terrain skills of the Luba. Also, the ability to work in grasses like kikuyu - I’ve put this in at my place as it’s drought resistant/works well with sandy soils but always assumed it would be challenging to now for a robot. Not so for the Luba - sounds like they have a winner on their hands!

This is the first robotic mower I have seen that I would ever consider buying! I have a similar property and I would love to try this beast out on it so that I can get some time back in the weekends. It looks like someone has actually put some decent engineering effort into solving this problem. I was looking at converting my rideon mower to electric but this is better.
