Nothing too hard to do. Instructions were o.k. Not the best, but usable enough. If you have large hands a couple of things you may find fiddly. On the whole, simple enough.

@@PLAYINGAROUND do you think it is possibly at all to make a home made Mamod traction engine if some who knew the simple design well enough and brought the parts off the internet or would it be better to buy and build one of the traction engine kits made by the Mamod company?

@@eliotreader8220 depending on the skills of the builder, either would be possible. The beauty of the Mamod is that the awkward bit, the boiler, is already done. Alas the Manod general quality isn't there.

@@PLAYINGAROUND so in all you found it not to be a right bag of Nails and nothing has come un done yet then? like what happened with my Wilesco D11 stationary engine, i was very lucky that i knew someone who was a retired engineer who was interested in steam engines and he helped me sort out the trouble i was having with it
