Manage Tasmota Devices with Tasmota Device Manager and Tasmo Backup

Күн бұрынIn this video, I walk through both Tasmota Device Manager and the Tasmo Backup Home Assistant Add-On that you can use to manage your Tasmota devices. These are tools you can add to your arsenal, in addition to TasmoAdmin, to give you flexibility in how you manage your devices.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those are neat programs and having backups of my devices is always beneficial. I'm a huge proponent of backups!

Sounds like you might be using an S31 on your freezer. I decided to disable the ability of the switch to turn off in Tasmota. Seemed like a good way to prevent an accidental meltdown of groceries.

I am using an S31. It's a good idea to disable the manual switch for that type of use case. I, too, wouldn't want my frozen items to be unfrozen.

In tasmota integration? Like disable the switch entity itself?

@@Tarikmoe There is an option you can set in the Tasmota console that sets it to always on. I'm sure there are other ways to do it as well. PowerOnState 4

There is also a Docker container set-up for TDM and an addon set-up, both using the Current release TDM from the same source. @What are we fixing today? Any chance we could get this added to Docker Hub so it can be easily pulled into things like Unraid?

You lost me right off the bat. Where do I find the correct Hostname to use for the MQTT Broker? I have MQTT installed on a PC, and that field is coming autofilled with "localhost". Is that correct (I see that you have a numerical IP address in yours)? I have a CloudFree Smart Plug 2 in my outlet, but I'm not seeing it in TDM.

Your MQTT broker would be the IP of where you have it installed. In this case, it sounds like your PC. I run my MQTT broker as an add-on to Home Assistant so I use the IP address of that device.
