I look forward to hearing from Peter Whittle. He's always stood up for the leave cause and socially conservative views.

Why are such urgent, logical and popular ideas so absent from our establishment? It truly makes me feel like the current political class deserves to be arrested and prosecuted for dereliction of duty or high treason.

Precisely, it is dereliction and neglect on a huge scale and then they wonder why there are plummeting levels of public trust in our politicians and the media.

Not just a moratorium on migration is needed, Peter and William, but a reversal. They must go back.

Agree about the moratorium on all migration, how can an island nation be expected to house millions from huge continents? can we make it erm 50 or so years.

Wow. Right on point. Funny how SDP receives so little MSM attention.

Moratorium is defo needed. We should also look at policies of repatriation. Illegals, criminals, those who’ve overstayed.
@nowherepeople3431

Repatriation will certainly be necessary. The country is already over populated.

I think an alliance with Reform might result in more recognition for both parties and represent a significant, viable and formidable choice for those of the electorate who will otherwise, still vote for one of the big guns - to try and stop the least desirable winning. The country is presently at the beck and call of big business, the media and a detached political elite and the electorate needs to regain control of the people we appoint to express our views

Moratorium the best policy I've heard in a long time.

Good words, but rather perplexing that he didn't get behind For Britain, whose immigration policy was more robust than the SDP's.

I think Reform and the SDP stand more chance of winning seats.

@@markalexander3487 Be that as it may, no one elected from those parties would been a better voice in parliament than AMW. His lack of support smacks of personal self-interest or peeve.

@@annemarieforprimeminister8020 Did your party allow ex-BNP/Britain First and National Front types in? If so, why would you expect your party to gain mass popularity? I think if you did a similar Farage type approach at the very beginning by banning such groups from joining and stopped focusing on Muslims then you'd probably still have people like Morrissey backing you. Too late now though. You are probably on par with the current UKIP and David Kurten's party.
@annemarieforprimeminister8020

@@chrisdavie8163 You are rather confused, and your ideas would have removed the very purpose of the party. The point is no one is talking about Islam (not 'Muslims'), certainly not Nigel Farage. First Gerard Batten and then Richard Braine tried to with UKIP, and they were removed. We need a debate on the subject urgenmtly. Morrissey backed For Britain precisely because AMW wasn't afraid to focus on Islam he was hardly repelled by it. And how does allowing ex-BNP 'types' in prevent mass popularity??

@@chrisdavie8163 Why should they not allow in those who fearlessly tell the truth? What point is there in not focussing on Muslims, as you put it, when they, in fact are the main root of all the serious problems?

Whittle deserted UKIP when Gerrard Batten came out in support of TommyR - but didn't resign his seat on the London Assembly - his commitment to freedom and honour in public office is dubious to say the least. He never got over Anne Marie Waters beating him in the 2017 UKIP leadership. Never forget.

Mass Migration was Windrush onwards. This is Hyper Immigration. SDP propose to return to Mass Migration with exemptions for economic partners (I suspect India) for a period, then a return to Hyper Immigration. Does the SDP recognise that Pakistani Muslims & Indian Hindus can not live in the same country? Do they pick one or the other? No. Does the SDP differentiate between those who do or don't believe they are owed something by the UK? Jamaicans vs Nigerians. Pakistanis & Indians who think that Britain did them harm rather than Malaysians who think they were given a leg up? No. Has the SDP offered the simple solution that Refugees belong in Refugee camps situated on the islands surrounding our mainland? No.

Great speech by Peter Whittle, The SDP Audience seemed a little subdued and obviously not much in agreement with Peter, I certainly wouldn't vote for the SDP.

I wouldn’t overthink that too much, they are members of a party that very clearly says about immigration moratoriums or how damaging mass immigration is economically and culturally.
