If people voted based on policies, SDP would win. They are aligned most with how the British public think

If they could get the exposure then I think they could definitely break 4 or 5% of the vote and build on that.

William is by far the most decent and honest of the political leaders. He’s full of common sense too. Great and well thought out policies.

Excellent speech from the leader of a fast growing party whose members all want to be part of the SDP's plan for the family, the community, and the nation.

Unfortuanately SDP are not running a candidate were I live but I will use my ballot paper amd write SDP on it. I dont see this as a wasted vote but my way to vote for a party which is aligned to my values.

Respect to the SDP and the old Liberal party, who refused to recognise the abxxtion which is the LibDems, which enabled the coalition government with the Tories.

I totally agree.. I've just joined the Old Libs..to be frank it was quite hard to decide whether to join either them or the SDP.. There are somethings the SDP believe which really resonate with me.

SDP have kicked out rigid ideologies and replaced it with a patriotic "let's fix it" approach to Britain's problems. (Re-industrialisation is a biggie for me) That's what's so great about them. Unfortunately there isn't a candidate in East Cornwall.

"human quantitive easing" is an interesting way of looking at things. a very chilled delivery of the manifesto from Mr Clouston - could do with more of his sort in politics - less shouting and insulting, and more just-getting-on-with-it.

As someone who wants what Reform offer on culture and immigration, but is put off by their low tax/no tax neoliberal economic solutions, the SDP was a welcome discovery for me. I hope that the SDP's star rises, as their manifesto is undoubtedly the best fit for this country. My only gripe is the prioritising of social housing for married couples. I understand the reasoning, but there should also be a provision for single citizens also. As a single person, you pay a premium for renting and buying (no one to split costs with), so hopefully they won't be deprioritised as a rule.

Didn’t have a candidate in the constituency I live. But had there been I’d of voted SDP. I think reform are going to do far better than the mainstream media are letting on. People are fed up of labour and the conservatives, at this point they’re the same party, Blairites with different colour ties. What we need is actual opposition.

It’s such a shame people are voting for reform because of immigration / colonisation but don’t necessarily realise reform are free market maniacs as well

Think it’s a protest vote more than anything. Both labour and the conservatives are completely out of touch.

Im in burnley and dont think ive ever had the chance to vote for the SDP. This year there is an independent candidate who used to be in the SDP, I will be voting for him. Ive only really just looked into the party as I knew nothing about them, but their policies are near enough perfect for me. They dont seem to get any air time or mentioned anywhere really, which is a shame as i really think a lot of normal working people would find them very appealing. And the leader seems to be the best of all the party leaders.

I agree with all what you have said. However i 100% believe that these new homes need to be solely offered for first time buyers. we have a huge many that are well rehearsed in snapping properties up to buy to let. Working people simply cant act quick enough to get on the market. It would also be very beneficial to the people of the UK if their was a cap put on how many properties one person can own. I'm sure there would be a lot of properties on the market which would help with this bubble that has been created by failed government and a failed bank of England. Also anyone paid by the state should get tax free up to X value. why we pay NHS, Police etc and then tax it back. its inefficient and wasteful. Scrap early release from prisons. it has to be clear cut to offenders that they will serve the time. As we have seen many criminals create their own calculations based on wishful thinking. seeing that criminals function on reward vs punishment phycology, its important that there is no room for them to get it wrong. make the punishment severe enough and clear cut and you will see crime diminish in medium to long term. I hear teens saying they can stab someone to death and be out of good behaviour and first offence within a year. and they say its easy time and they get rewarded with street cred which helps them in future criminal activities. Can we wake up and fix this. There's a clear reason why Saudi Arabia and UAE have so such low crime numbers. They dont mix it up. you get punished severely enough so that you dont risk it and you dont come out because you was a good manipulative boy.

Thank you for sharing. This woke society we now all live in, is in my opinion due to most people turning their backs on the righteous right-rulings of God/Christ in the Bible'. Christ Jesus - (Yahusha in Hebrew) teaches us in : Matthew 7:12, “Therefore, whatever you wish men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law (Instructions from God the Father) and the Prophets. How to Love God & others, & be pleasing in God's eyes according to the Bible : 1 John 5 : 2 - 5, 2, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and follow His commandments. 3, For this is the love of God (His will), that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4, For whatever is born of God (Elohim in Hebrew) overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. 5, Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus (Yahusha) is the Son of God ? 1 John 3 - 4, Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. (without keeping God's laws in your life). For God's (Yah's) Just & Loving commandments that bring blessings to those who keep them; please see : Exodus 20 : 1-17, Micah 6: 8, Matthew 7:12, Matthew 22 : 34 - 40, & Galatians 5 : 22-24, - (for the fruits of the Spirit that keep the laws of God/Yah). Faith is the Root - Obedience is the 'Good Fruit' of our Faith in Christ, see : John 15 : 1-6, Christ Jesus - Yahusha tells us to “Repent of our sins and believe in Him, to turn back to Yah - God the Father, for the blotting out of our sins, and to learn of Him the Messiah, see : (Matthew 11:27-30); And to walk in the Fathers way's of right-rulings and blessings as He did, see : (1John 2: 6-7), for He does not change; He is the same yesterday, today & forever, see : (Malachi 3:6, & Hebrews 13:8) King Solomon the son of King David, who asked God for the gift of wisdom said this, in : Ecclesiastes12 :13-14, After all is said and heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God (Yah) and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. 14, For God-Yah will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Micah 6 :8, what does God want of His people, He has told us in 'His Word' - to Act Justly, Love Mercy, and to walk humbly before Him. Remember : Faith is the Root - Obedience is the 'Good Fruit' of our Faith in Christ, see : John 15 : 1-6, I hope these scriptures are helpful to you & all who read them; Shalom' (Peace) 🕊💕

i think you are too used to the acting instead of what matters. The British people have for too long got caught up in Cliché's and expect a highly animated politician + (football coaches), when what really matters is their agenda, policies and values. I found him to be relaxed and honest and i think he doesn't need to do the dancing monkey because he knows his policies and all else that matter is the important thing. its not for politicians to perform to the people, its time for the people to listen and stop expecting to be entertained all the time. There is plenty of Netflix to watch after... I'm not having a dig at you, i truly believe what i say. The people need to snap out of it and listen. most dont even read the a manifesto. that says a lot really.

Look, to all the people who have replied to what I said, I also like William Clouston. I think he is a good leader and would make a great statesman. However, I don't think it is impossible to be a good (even charismatic) public speaker while still being honest and authentic. I also don' think having good policies and asserting them energetically are mutually exclusive. I stand by what I said originally. Especially during an election campaign you need to present yourself with a little bit more passion and energy than giving a speech in the middle of a party conference.
