Mango Cake With Easy Frosting Recipe (No Whipping Cream)

Here's how to make fluffy Mango Cake
MANGO GLAZE:
2 mangoes (pureed)
4 tbsp sugar (60g)
3 tbspn orange juice
MANGO CHIFFON:
8 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar (100g)
1/2 cup oil (60ml)
1 tsp vanilla (5ml)
1/4 cup mango juice or pineapple juice or orange juice (60ml)
1/3 cup mango glaze
2 and 1/4 cup cake flour or 1 and 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder (14g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
8 egg whites
1 tsp lemon juice or cream of tartar
1/2 cup white sugar (100g)
MANGO FLOUR BUTTERCREAM:
1/4 cup All purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar (150g)
1/4 tsp salt
1 and a half cup milk
1 cup butter
1/4 cup mango glaze

I made this recipe and the cake was so fluffy and delicious I used a very thin layer of buttercream and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I ended up with a whole 30z mason jar of leftover butter cream that I'm gonna freeze for the next time I make cake. I'm not even a huge on cake I have it twice a year. but I made this for my birthday cake today and I could see myself having this cake as dessert every once and a while. thank you!

I’ve tried this recipe and it was very delicious. ❤️ I used a 6x3 baking pan so I cut down the recipe into half except for the frosting. My husband almost finished the whole cake in one sitting. 😜

I've made your mango and whipped cream cake before which was good but I got so excited to see you make it again using 9in round pans (love that you sliced them in half. Depending on the cake the sponge vs. the frosting, the ratio can be off) and using a frosting I've never made before. I've seen plenty of recipes for it but never had the nerve to try it. Thanks for the recipe. I finally found mango juice too, lol. Also, just had to tell you that I've made your cream cheese/garlic and parsley filled buns 4 times. My extended family just tried them on Mon. They were a HIT!! I thank you. They thank you... 🤗

@@SavorEasy is it necessary to glaze the mango amd sugar? Or is it still the same if i just add sugar and juice when i puree the mango? Also, i made this flour buttercream why is it that it looks kinda melting or to soft to cover the cake.. i follow the steps pls help me figure out where i did wrong.. Hoping for your response.🙏

I made a mango cake last year out of my head I used a similar method the only thing I did different was instead of using mango juice I stewed the mango puree for about five min with a little lime juice cooled it then add it to sugar and egg yolk it was delicious.

Made this cake this weekend exactly according to recipe. Came out very delicious. One thing though I would do different is definitely increase the amount of buttercream needed because it wasn't enough according to the recipe measurements. I ended up with thin layers of buttercream in between the cakes and barely enough to place the swirls on top only and nothing on the bottom. Also, I had a good amount of glaze leftover which was perfect because I would drizzle it over the slices and that made it taste even better. Make sure to place it in the fridge after cooking it and before making the cake in order to thicken up, otherwise it's thin liquid consistency will run down the cake. Having thick border swirls helps with this as well. Pro Tip: Use Alphonso or Kesar mango 🥭 pulp. You can find it at most Indian stores. Makes it WAY more delicious.
