According to #neuroscience research, there are four major mistakes you make when it comes to #manifesting.
Done correctly, manifesting is a #mindset tool that elite athletes and the world’s most successful people use to perform at the highest levels and achieve remarkable goals.
Today, I’ll reveal those mistakes and more importantly, teach you how to manifest the right way.
This episode is all about the HOW.
If you love takeaways and tools, you’ll eat this up.
Today I’ll lay it all out for you, step by step.
You’ll learn the 4 things you need to do every day if you’re serious about achieving your goals and dreams.
So wherever you stand on the topic of manifesting, this episode is a masterclass in both the science and art of doing it.
For all my cynics and skeptics, this isn’t what you think it is. This is tactical and based in research.
And if you already love vision boards, you’re probably going to have to rip yours up and create a new one once you learn the research related to what works and what doesn’t when it comes to visualization.
I promise you are not going to want to miss this one.

1. Truth with yourself 2. Visualize and feel in your body every single thing that you need to do to make you success 3. Pick someone you deeply admired in your visualization (doing all steps that you fear together) 4. You need to take the action !!! And to be patient and consistent. Working toward your big dream

Since childhood, I was manifesting without knowing I was doing it. It wasn't until my late 40's that I really understood its value, definition, energy, and strength. When I look back thru' my decades of life, I can identify the different instances of manifestation. As an Empath, it's even hits deeper - more in depth. No special training and long before the scientific aspect of it became popular. It's absolutely magical. ❤ Manifestation is absolutely real. The Universe knows what it is doing when I work with it instead of against it. Honesty/Truth; the journey and not the destination; dreams guiding me and not fears; and patience. It's not hard or frustrating when you allow the Universe to do its thing with You. ❤ Another absolutely awesome podcast!! Thank you Mel!! ❤😊❤

As someone who has published three novels and is working on his fourth, what Mel says about writing a novel is true. What I would add is that you may find, as I have done, that when you write a novel, you may spend weeks or even months writing very little at all, especially when you hit that halfway point where your characters are in motion, but your ending doesn't seem clear to you at all. Of course, once you get an inkling of your ending, whether in the form of an image or a piece of dialogue, it can inspire you to get the rest of the novel done. I've found that the last half of my first draft can be completed in a month once the ending starts to come into view, which means I end up writing around 40,000 words in a month. This way of writing a first draft has happened to me three times now. So, if you feel your novel isn't working, give it some time and let your unconscious mind work on it. Your mind might have its own schedule, so be patient with yourself and keep the dream alive. If writing a novel is something you want to do, my best advice would be to write the first draft, then use software like Grammarly to proofread your words, to make suggestions to improve the clarity and then hire a copy editor to go over your novel and either publish it yourself on KDP or try to get a publisher to take it on. Above all else, give yourself permission to write the worst first draft imaginable. Once you have the first draft, the fun begins. When you have the second draft, you may feel like a child with a new lego set or a Tonka truck. And remember to actually send it out into the world. Please don't abuse your novel by letting it lie on your computer as a Word document or as a paper manuscript hidden away in the back of your closet.

I almost gave up on my dream of going to medical school. I was telling myself that I'm 35 and have an unrelated degree and background but this episode just made me realize how I was lying to myself. Yes there will be lots of obstacles on my way but I am going to do it. I have to go back to school and get another bachelor's degree that is related to medicine. then I have to study for MCAT to be able to get admission into medical school. I could fail throughout my journey and it could take a long time. I would reach my 40s and maybe I fail and maybe I won't. I have to give up the "When" and stay focused on the "Why" and "How". I will contact you when I achieve my dream years from now. You just ignited a ray of hope in my heart. Thank you Mel.

You might want to find out if your degree is good enough to go straight to Medical, or if you just need to add some classes and not a whole nother degree. A school guidance counselor at your college can help. Either Ann Landers or Dear Abby had a letter once from a woman in a similar position to you, that had wanted to get a medical degree, but she felt that she was getting too old. She said if I do that I will be X years old when I finish in 7 years. Dear Abby said how old will you be in 7 years if you do not accomplish your goal? Thought you would like that

Good for you! Your extra maturity and life experience will serve you well as a doctor starting out. And I agree wholeheartedly with the other commenter-- take a few minutes now and then to double check that you are doing exactly the right classes to meet the requirements. You don't want to take more time than necessary. And a course preparing you for the final exam (even if it's expensive) is a good investment--the better score will give you a boost in your confidence. Good luck! 🎉💪 I'm happy that you're starting off in achieving your dream (I'm still in the dreaming stage, but am gradually freeing up the time and headspace I need)

Mel, I really needed this today. As a soon to be an empty nester, it is finally my time. I’ve spent 42 years raising kids. 5 kids aged 42 to 22. I am going to figure out how to bake full time, it will work, because I am willing to do the work. No more excuses!

I'm really happy for you. I'm 59. Dutch Hungarian and German. My mother taught me to bake very early. I've had 2 friends offer to buy me my own small restaurant. Ha! I'm too busy. I raised 6 children by myself, now 35-25. I moved from WA to MN to a huge farmhouse in the North Minnesota woods and live here all by myself. It's an intersection segment to my life's journey. Please don't be afraid to bake. It's honestly just food, effort and hunger. Try. Bake the same thing 2x in a row. That helps. Make homemade pudding, eclairs, strudel, streusel, pies, cakes, icing..... It's fun. Plus, as long as you can afford the ingredients? There's an endless supply of folks who will be happy to receive your goods. Fireman, police department, your local county highway department. Power Utility department. Plus, it's a way to get to know people. Best to you.... 🙋🏼‍♀️❄️💝

I did not realize that I have been doing this all along with racing. I am a motorcycle road racer. When I wait for my race, I sit on my own, and go through the track, corner by corner. If I have trouble with a corner, I find out what others with my same setup are doing, and visualize that race line in my mind. I am currently healing after a spectacular crash at the beginning of the season. It was a season-ender but not a life-ender. I am currently feeling ready to get back out on the track--and yet everyone is telling me that I may have issues. I don't know. For right now, I am not worried.

Okay I love Megan! Dear Megan, I was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona and lived there my whole life with my big family telling me not to leave, we were not wealthy by any means and there was a lot of fear. I even got in an abusive relationship and actually, that is what led me, when I was 33 years old, to put all my stuff in a U-Haul and drive 3 states away to Washington State. BEST thing I ever did for myself!!! It has been amazing. You can do this Megan! Pick out a place you think is beautiful and go there! Here is a helpful tip: you may have the fear of failure like if you don't like it then your parents will think you fail. Well I say just take it as an adventure you are taking yourself on for a year. Just say "I am going to move to ________ for a year, just for fun!" That way, if you decide to move back to Tampa it is not failure- you did what you set out to do- have the experience.

He used me for years and now that I am disabled from Lupus and can no longer work - he is divorcing me. I am terrified of what to do next. I have to take the steps to go through the divorce and I am dealing with my illness at the same time. Some days - I can’t get out of bed . I know I am depressed. I actually feel defeated. I gave Everything and now I feel I have nothing left. I don’t use my name because I am afraid he follows my social media.

How about writing a book on manifesting? I've thought for a while that if I can clearly see what I want next, that vision helps me make tiny micro decisions along the way, that slowly get me closer to a goal--even if I'm not consciously and overtly working on that specific goal at that time. That's as close to embracing manifesting as I've ever gotten. But what you said about the act of visualizing the steps necessary to reach the goal, as the proper way to manifest, is really interesting!

Megan... I've done exactly what she's afraid of doing. 3 years ago, I decided I wanted to move from Colorado to Texas. I wanted to show down my own life and move my kids to a safe and easy-going place. I had all the same concerns (no friends or family, financial fears...). I moved to Texas 2 years ago. My family is in California, still haven't made any friends and hemorrhaged money until I was almost broke and working a dead-end job. I had to sit down and remember WHY I wanted to move in the first place...slower and safer place to live with my kids. Once I realized that I got what I wanted, I worked on getting a different job with better pay and benefits. I'm working on resolving my debt from my first 2 years and saving. Putting into practice, being the best woman/mom I can be. My mom always said, "You won't go anywhere if you don't get off the fence. "

Mel, I have been watching your videos for a while now, and I keep going back to some videos, such as the letting go episode. I have decided for some time to end my life and leave this world at a specific time in the future. Your videos have kept me hopeful, so far, that things might change and miracles might happen. This episode brought sense and realism to manifesting and affirmations, which I have been investing in the past couple of years. I was born and raised Catholic, but these exercises have proven more helpful to me and have so far kept me alive. I hope I manifest what I want, and I clearly know what are the things I want, and I have been trying really hard to take steps towards them. While I am still here, thank you, for sharing these hopeful messages - I share them with the people I love in the hopes that they can be helped at least, if this does not work out for me.

Thank you for your podcast. This is my first time listening and I really enjoyed it. My worst fear is picking up that phone, of being rejected so I just leave it. I want to get out of the everyday rat race and work for myself and now I know how to overcome my fear and begin manifesting. Thank you

ER, you will wake up one day (after you're over the shock) and realize he did you a favor. I've been where you are. I moved back to MA with my children to be near my family and start a job that was given to someone else by the time I got there. A year later the shock wore off and I wanted to go back to CA, it took 3 more years and a brother to drive the uHaul.. .. 39 yrs later, I just retired from my Laboratory profession and am ready to start "what's next". Don't lose heart, if you made it through med school, you'll make it through this. Therapy helps and so do support groups, one step at a time. Sending warm wishes your way. ❤

Hi Mel - first of all I just learned of your podcasts and I am addicted, and have been listening to all that I can and sharing with my adult kids. Anyway, I'm 73 years old and manifesting is phenominal...I've done this only a few times to get me thru some very tuff times, it really works...only I didn't know what I was doing had a name! The feeling of defeat and self-doubt comes in when you are looking at the BIG picture, when you're looking at all the glamor and glitz and how things could be, thats when that voice in your head gets really loud and you just tell yourself, no I can't, no I'm not good enuf... (insert here the riddle "how do you eat an elephant". That voice in my head has been with me all my life, and that voice has held me back from achieving big things, so i have settled. Thanks Mel, this has been a phenomenal "light bulb" moment, or like Oprah says, aha moment. I'm going to sit down and begin writing down all the steps I need to take to get my arse going in the right direction. Thank you, thank you, thank you.❤ I'm sure you know the answer to the riddle..., one bite at a time!😅

I stumbled upon your podcast when I desperately came in KZfaq and typed in manifesting for beginners. I’m so happy I did, I recently (10 months ago) moved my daughter and I to a new state and she isn’t happy. I’m not either. We moved as it got though and we’ve always wanted to try this other sunshine state. Well together we have decided we desire to move back with a new plan to our home state. I know it would work but my doubts are starting to sweep in. This video really taught me a lot and as someone who believes in the science of things, I feel lucky to come across you! I’m going to do this we will do this and now I can manifest my daughter and my future 🌹🙌🏾

This podcast resonated with me so much. My son wants to move to a new university next year and I’m giving hin so many what if bad scenarios because I feel like he will have such a difficult time being too far away from home since he’s currently in a commuter school. I didn’t realize that I took so many risks when I was younger including moving to the US, leaving a very easy job and moving to Southern CA from Northern CA without a new job yet, leaving a bad relationship even though I was scared I was making a mistake with all those decisions. Each risk paid off and in the end always left me with a feeling everything was set up for me and I just had to grab the opportunity. As I grew older, I bcame very risk averse and I’m manifesting my fears to my kids. This was an eye opener so thanks so much Mel, you really do change people’s lives.

Something else that might be worth bringing into the conversation with him is letting him know that if things don’t work, it’s safe to come back home. Nothing done ever needs to be feared as if it’s forever…if he moves away and it doesn’t work it’s fine to come home again.

Putting the steps on the screen would be helpful for visual learners. Science says it takes 8 spaced repetitions for someone to grasp a new concept so just keep saying it when manifesting

I LOVE step 4, Mel! This is the part I wasnt aware of until I had done all thr things which held me back and then I started to act. And just so you know, there is still self-doubt sometimes, but its ok, we are learning and due to taking the action step by step, we can prove ourselves that we are capable of doing it and making it happen even when we sometimes doubting it. Push through it, the universe and you yourself ARE TESTING you if you REALLY want this thing, jib, change,.. so badly as you claimed. When I can make it, you can make it too guys. Love yaa ❤🎉

I'm new to your channel and wanted to share my thoughts. You won me over by your honesty and straight in your face language. Please don't change. Don't censor yourself. I love it! Today's society is so damn soft and we are getting soft results. But I'm from the old school, I need that coach to get in my face and tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can get to my goal. Lastly, I love the football analogies. ❤️

Loved this. One of the things that drives me crazy is when people talk about “the law of attraction” being based on science. Yet, the things they teach has zero empirical evidence. Doesn’t mean there’s no truth to it, but there is no legitimate science to back it. What you’re talking about, specifically regarding visualization is the opposite of what many people teach, which is don’t worry about the how, only the what and the why. Yet, the empirical evidence supports what you’re saying. You are the only person I’ve heard offer a practical definition of manifesting. ❤

Love this podcast and have taken many notes. I actually started yesterday, refreshing/recreating a web page/resume for my next chapter in my life. I'm 56, I want to still work while I'm able, in my same interior design/sale-ish area so trying to figure out exactly what that would be. Also,we are empty nesters, wanting to move to Tennessee to build our forever home by 2025. Only we are also trying to rebuild out retirement fund from a business we owned that went bad over covid. resetting and reimagining, is scary at this age. Many in your podcast are 30, so fear is a big thing.
