What are the differences between the Mantis X3 and X10?

Had a great time with mantisx support, got quick responses, detailed troubleshooting, and once it was isolated to a device malfunction, a quick replacement. Just got to play with the holster draw analysis today, and I love it (average 1.22 seconds from appendix without a cover garment). Thanks guys!

Which holsters will work with the x10?

We will soon be offering a holster for Glock pistols. See our website regarding pre-order options. Otherwise, we have not done a lot of testing. However, any holster designed for a light bearing pistol in which the light has dimensions greater than the Mantis may allow the holster to be used with the Mantis; although retention may be non-existent in certain cases and this will limit movement before risk of the pistol falling from the holster becomes an issue. The X3 and X10 is about 2.1" x 1.09" x 0.79". We have tested TLR-1 holsters and they work but are loose. The following should work based on measurements, but have not been tested: APL and APL-C holsters should work X300 should work, but I've not verified the dimensions. Xiphos NTX

I just bought the Mantis X 10 and a magazine baseplate for my M&P Shield 9mm. The baseplate did not come with instructions but came with an extra plastic piece. Now I'm searching KZfaq at 10:00 pm and getting more frustrated by the minute. I can get the baseplate with the rail to slide onto the bottom of the magazine but it doesn't snap & lock into place like the S&W baseplate. I've chased this stoopid magazine spring around the house too many times this evening. I'm going to fix myself a drink and call it a night.

@@MantisX Please disregard my previous rant. I figured it out. I had the little plastic piece with the two round parts upside-down. At the advice of my wife I just needed “to step away for a little while.”

If you dont plan to use the Mantis for bow or shotgun is the x10 still that much better then the x3. I was going to get the x3 only for the fact that i dont use shotgun or bow but am i really missing out if i dont have the x10

you miss the holster draw analysis. otherwise its the same. you have to decide if that is necessary for you

Just got the X10, wondering what the four rubber pads are for.

Also, trying the holster draw analysis, the app seems stuck on "Holster the firearm" - never progresses past that.

The four rubber pads are for the barrel clamp adapter (for use on rifle or the pending shotgun app)

@@JereKrischel Is the gun positioned downward? That will trigger the beginning of it. Just make sure the settings match your mounting location and direction.

@@MantisX Yeah, I've tried positioning the gun down, positioning it up, left, right - still stuck on "Holster the firearm". Doing dry fire with a g19 - other drills work just fine. Using v4.0.3 of the app on an iphone 8 plus.

Would've been nice, for the money I spent, for my x10 to have type c instead of outdated micro usb for charging purposes.....

As long as it works and you can train with it stop whining about connection type. Plenty of devices still have old charging systems and work fine. Especially lights and lasers for weapons.

So, the Mantis X3 and X10 look exactly alike. I'm assuming it's programming and software. I have the X-10, my kid has the X3. What's to keep her from taking mine by accident???

Good point, they are very similar. The best way to tell them apart is to look at the left and right side of the Mantis. The X10 features slants on either side that help improve aerodynamics. ;) The X3 does not have these slants.
