This is hands down the best training aid I have seen and tried. Have only used it so far for dry fire. Have been able to identify and correct trigger use problems.

Just picked up the X10. Can't wait to test it out on the range and in dry fire. If it's everything I hope it is, i'll be bringing it to my classroom for my basic pistol classes.

I love my original mantis. Right now with the lock down it makes dry fire training a lot better and keeps me training even when I can't go to the range. Would love to get this new one but can't really justify it when my old one still works great. Keep making improvements mantis team, great training tool.

They offer an upgrade where you get money back on the X10 purchase by sending in your old unit. I just did it.

I can’t wait to get one of these. The OG was good at helping my follow up shots. Now with the X I’m hoping it helps me to speed up my follow up shots. This is probably unfair but I have some high expectations for the X cause the original set a high bar.

Any chance we can get a video of this being used with a shotgun for app? Very curious about how the shotgun app works.

I can't wait to get one of these. A good data-logger is crucial to fine tuning. Y'all need to send some samples to Military Arms Channel, Iraq Veteran 8888, Honest Outlaw, etc. to get your name out. Maybe even Pew Pew Tactical for one of there compensator comparisons. I got more ideas of your interested.

So at a later time the rapid fire function will be released. 1. So the recoil and the rapid fire tracking will be two separate functions? What is the shot split time that the recoil analysis can function with? 2. What is the shot split time for traces of the original model versus the newer models including the x10? 3. What will the shot split rate be for the x10 after the rapid fire trace function is relased?
@MantisX5 жыл бұрын
The goal is perfection (unlimited speed) and complete integration. We will be releasing in phases as the algorithms improve. Split times for the original MantisX are limited to 0.2 - 0.3 depending on the stability of the shooter.
@TimeTwoShoot5 жыл бұрын
So is the recoil time the measuring from the time of the shot considered zero location until the gun travels up in recoil and down stopping at the zero location or travels below the zero location (crossing through)?The new model states it does better on rapid fire. How fast shot splits can the new X10 deal with?The X10 states it does holster draw analysis. What holster do you have lined up to work with the X10?Are you going to make more videos showing each of these functons?Nice to see a video of different people with different experience shooting a bill drill. Nice to see new shooter that only got safety briefed then measure recoil then teach good grip and stance and see how the system records the change.
@MantisX5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. Yes, the recovery time as measured from the assumed zero until it returns. The rapid fire update will be out (as a free software update) in a couple months and will be able to handle shots basically as quickly as you can fire them. Most light-bearing holsters will work great with the X10, as it has a slimmer profile. And yes, lots of videos in the future coming!

I'm curious about your use of what appears to be a 'weaver' style stance and a revolver type grip with a semi auto handgun... I haven't seen that in a while. It hurt my brain.
@stephenj62034 жыл бұрын
Yes, his technique does focus on creating isometric tension. Each shooter must select those techniques which best fit their objective and application. They alone bear the consequences of their choices. He has chosen those which he feels places him in the greatest advantage for his considerations. I'll bet he can shoot revolvers just as well with the grip he is using for auto pistols. Why use two when one will do just as well. ;)
@s239004 жыл бұрын
@@stephenj6203 Well I would argue that if his objective and/or application is to shoot more efficiently with better mitigation of recoil, among other things, he should select a more modern grip and stance. I mean, if his objective/application is to demonstrate how to experience more muzzle flip and recoil, then this is perfect. As far as utilizing a different grip for a revolver, there are a number of different reasons related to the design of revolvers and their grips that force you to hold them differently. This (among other reasons) is why, for combat applications, semi auto handguns are far superior to revolvers.
