What part is a sell-out? Number 1 chef pro tip is to use stock instead of water any time you're making something savoury. As a recipe aimed at home cooks, of course it's going to be a pre-prepared stock, and Knorr make a decent product.

It would be selling out if he sacrificed his principles for money. He's always advocated that cooking should be easy, not a chore. He didn't sell out and has always used Knorr. Knorr approached him to sponsor him because of how much he liked their products. Fucking dumbass.

In the USA many young adults / teenagers can't cook, but he is really big on yt so more and more will watch his videos and maybe wanna try it.
