Good morning Maria 🥰, just watched your video with my granddaughter Emma. She is spending the day with me since my is traveling to Shands Hospital this morning . My daughter is not doing so well after her surgery last week . We just need to stay strong in our Faith and never forget God is control . But Emma already knows you 😍. I encourage her to love nature, taking care of our garden and our plants are very important. She loved the leaves on your head 🥰. You’re a great inspiration to all of us . We love you Maria ❤️. Just wanted to let you know my desert roses are doing great under the shade of my palms . I have them on a pallet . Hopefully I can get them inside my Florida room in the Fall . God Bless you Maria and thank you for all that you do 💕

Thank you for the great info Maria!! Its been hot here in Texas. Right when my desert rose buds were about to bloom, they end up getting burned. I moved my plants under the shade and now they are doing so much better.

Thank you Maria! About 4 months ago I had to cut my second biggest desert rose. I've had him for 5 years and boy did it hurt the have to cut more than half of his bottom off. He's made it but now the rain start I live in Tampa and I have nowhere to put him that he does not get rain I can put an umbrella over him which I have but usually it gets ended up Blown Away. I know I must try harder but physically it's very difficult for me due to illnesses. My oldest one gave me over a hundred fifty flowers in her spring flush. she did not have any leaves but flowers all all over the place. ALWAYS watching 👉👵👈❤

Libby's Little Garden Hi my friend what I think you need to do if you don’t apply any water and let the rain take and apply some copper fungicide to help the root system also if this a old plant it’s is going to need some help from you like cover the desert rose with something to protect from to much rain my concert it you repotted fourth months ago and I don’t believe the plants it’s totally recover you need to ask someone to help to make some type of shelter not to get to much rain ones a week it’s good for now thank you Maria’s garden

Here in Arizona we're already in the 100s! I have mine on my porch which also happens to be east facing so it's been working out perfectly. They get 5 to 8 hours of sunlight (depending on where they are on the porch) and then the rest of the day they are protected from the afternoon sun but still in bright shade. They seem to be loving it! All but one are pushing out buds. The one that's not doing so well, I'm not surprised because I got that one in the mail and the sender literally sent a bare rooted plant in a large envelope.... it's gonna take its time to recover from that disaster I'm sure, the poor little baby! It's actually still in full shade because I know it's not ready for any direct sunlight. Hopefully one day soon ♡ Thanks again for another great video Maria 😁

They grow in the ground in the wild. I've seen 15 year old plants in the ground, they get huge and do fine. They grow much faster than in pots. You just have to have the right climate and right soil

Maria can you elaborate what you mean by if there are bumps the graft isn't good? I have one plant that is grafted that has a bumpy surface and feels more bark like compared to my other plants. It's also a young plant, can't be more than 2 years. I think it's only a year old. A few days after I first got it one of its branches became soft and was rotting. I followed your advice, cut into healthy tissue, treated it with cinnamon, let it dry out completely and then sealed it with glue. It's been 8 weeks since then and it seems to be doing very well. It's hard as a rock, growing leaves and buds. It also looks like it's trying to grow a new branch. But I've heard you mention something about bumps in other videos and this plant is bumpy all over the trunk and the skin is bark like as I said before. Now Im concerned lol

Maria what is your feeling about top dressing the desert rose with pebbles or rocks ? Is it ok or not a good idea? Gracias :)
@MariasgardenGarden5 жыл бұрын
Hilda Wilson Hi my Hi my friend it’s ok but make sure don’t over load the plant I don’t like because you’re covering direct sun from the soil and can cause problems like fungus or insects can make house in the rocks but if you keep a eye on Thank Maria’s garden
@MariasgardenGarden5 жыл бұрын
Hilda Wilson Hi Hilda best not to if you place rocks or pebbles because insects and lack of sun light keep the soil nice and dry and prevent fungus thank you Maria’s garden

because fertilizer runs off into the waterways creating algae blooms which lead to fish deaths.
