God...that man is a legend. One of the best American rock bands ever for sure. Listen to the albums "Closer to Home", and "On Time", and "Grand Funk"...anyone that disagrees with me is just plain stupid.

when I first listened to Grand Funk back in 1971, I was 12 years old and now I'm 64 but Mark Farner looks younger and in better shape than I am.

It's strange to hear Mark talk about who got him started and his guitar heroes. He got me started way back when. 1000's of garage bands started around that time. He is one of the only two guitarists on my wall right now. Right next to EVH. You are and will always be MY hero Mark!

Mark was/is the best. Great vocals, stage presence and the author of all of the songs. If one fellow is instant recognizable as the leader of GFR it is Mark. GFR via Mark was with me throughout high school. Mark - just market yourself at Mark Farmer formerly of GFR. That is legal most likely. Although I would love to read your documents. I am a lawyer.

Born to Die is their best LP...amazing stuff. Early GFR to their financial loss and then to create the pop hits...then they wrote Bron to Die before the last commercial attempt. Brewer's drumming was excellent on this LP...

Sad, if I would have known what a real jerk don brewer was, I would have never gone and seen GFR this past weekend. Never again - I will not support that kind of greed and hate.

Okay - what can someone/anyone tell me about what happened with Don & Mark & Mel? In under 100 words or less preferably. :-) I could look it up somewhere but I'm sure some Real FANS of GFR can give me actual FACTS, vice Rumors & Innuendo, you know? Thx.

Don and Mel bamboozled Mark out of GFR! Mel asked Mark one day if he would like to sign a document to protect the name Grand Funk Railroad
@silviaschaefer6691
@silviaschaefer6691 4 жыл бұрын
Mark said yes, and Mel said I have the document in my room. Let me get it for you. He gets the doc, gets Mark to sign, and Mark without realizing it sign his rights away from GFR. So now Mark can’t perform using GFR logo or anything. They cheated Mark! I saw this in an interview given by Mark somewhere on U Tube June 2020!!
