Thank you for this channel! Saves a ton of time in research. I'm wanting to do meal prep for families in the San Diego area. The prepared meals will be kept if refrigerators and I will deliver directly to the families homes. Does the cottage food laws and both licenses cover this type of food business?

Thanks for this video is so helpful! For a class B permit, a couple of questions (1) do I need to submit ALL products label that I will be selling and how does it work if I want to introduce new products to my catalogue? and (2) Is there a process to submit new labels for new products as I go?

Hello, does the CFO laws requires the owner/landlord of the home to be notified? I live in a rental home but I’m not sure if the landlord can deny me from obtaining a business license.

no unfortunately due to the fat that this has to be kept cold they are wanting these items to be made in a commercial kitchen due t the potential of mold and bacteria development

I’m confused for the class A license it says that you can’t cook where kids and animals and where you wash your dishes and keep cleaning supplies. But every home has that so do you need a separate enclosed kitchen space for it?

I know it’s been like a year since you’ve posted this but I believe it means that when you’re operating your business as in when you’re actually making and packaging the food you can’t be doing other things like cooking for your family or doing anything that isn’t a part of your business at that specific time

you culd under the b license from california I have not seen a list that says you cant BUT the best way is to check with the city or county you live in

great question no you need just 1 class B it will be the permit needed for you to sell anything ithin the approved list I would do the B not A has more flexability and is worth paying more as well
