When i hear this song reminds me of my Daddy, before he passed away with cancer he wanted too make sure we played this song for his service😥. He told me when it's my time he'll be at the gate with open arm's waiting for me😭. I Miss Him So Much, he was the best Daddy ever😍

Funny how songs that remind you of really great times can also make you cry.🥺

After five years, I finally called her. She waited for me. We married had four children. As of this year 2020 , 45 years together.

I'm 76 years old and this song just brings tears running down my face. This puts Martha Reeves in a whole other category.

going to high school. wishing I could explain to to people the way life use to be then, but is impossible, its like trying to explain the color green to a blind man. those times will never never never happen again. I feel sorry for todays youth

I love this song, I was singing it, then decided to look it up on KZfaq- I’m so glad it was added here. Martha sings it so beautifully; She and the Vandellas are definitely one of Motown’s gems. I loved this group growing up, oh how it bring back memories!❤

This is a true gem. One of their best. I think about all my family we used to visit with in DC. We all would sit around the record player and play the 45 to death. Makes me do these things.

The greatest female group. I first saw Martha & the Vandellas as a teenager at Palisades Park in 1963.

There is so much truth in this song , that many , choose to not show , as they do not want to be "vulnerable" . The honesty in this song is so very touching ... and Martha hits the emotion perfectly .

I was singing this song tonight. At least the parts I remembered from my youth. My sister used to play this song over and over. It's such a beautiful song, I'm glad somebody put it on youtube.
