9 ай бұрынMarvel's Spider-Man 2 delivers an incredible story about heroes and villains grappling with loneliness.
There's quite a bit of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that can be summed up as "more of the same." Granted, that's a good thing--both the original game and the Miles Morales-focused follow-up feature fantastic reimaginings of their respective Spider-Men, exhilarating web-swinging, and superb combat mechanics. Who wouldn't just want more of that? And sure, more of what came before does mean that Spider-Man 2 retreads less successful ground, like the first game's buzz-killing science puzzles. However, the good far outweighs the bad, and a few new gameplay mechanics freshen up aspects of both traversal and combat. Altogether, it's a great game and one well worth seeing all the way through from its bombastic beginning to its emotional end.

The wind tunnels were really a non-issue for me. I was perfectly capable of swinging across the water just fine. Whether it’s web zipping on top of a boat or using the bridges. I actually didn’t really need the wing suit or wind tunnels at all throughout the game. They’re just there for people that want a little bit of a quicker route to get around

My ONLY issue with the game, that completely gutted the stealth in this game for some reason. You have no tools for silently taking out a room full of enemies, no traps, no web bombs, nothing, all you can do is shoot web to get enemies to move so you can do perch/silent takedowns making attempting to clear a room silently take FOREVER. It’s really weird how that whole element was all but almost removed when it was so well implemented in the first but aside from that one thing, phenomenal game.

All these comments saying "xbox players are salty" Not really lol. We'll just wait for it to come to PC. One game doesn't mean an entire console playerbase is upset lol. We gets tons on gamepass that you don't. It really doesn't matter which console you play on.

Console wars are mega corny. People should just play whatever tf they have a preference for. Xbox community is doing fine. Hi Fi Rush, Forza Motorsport, StarField, and various first party game updates. PlayStation is fine as well with Spiderman 2 dropping in a few days

I mean it's a polished Spiderman game. That is iterative of the first one. With some cool story beats. Nothing new. But more of a game we all loved. 8/10 sounds pretty fair.

I feel like there could have been a way for you to make your point on the game’s unique method of taking down the intro boss without spoiling who it is and the details of how it’s played out. Yes I know he was just revealed in the latest trailer but the details discussed in this review are really unnecessary.

Don’t get how one can reference villain interactions in countless other Spidey media, but then describe Venom’s backstory as something that hasn’t been done before in this way. Maybe the difference in nuance is better experienced than worded? Cos it sounded like a prior iteration.

I love how they show more of minor enemies like sandman and mysterio instead of venom and kraven the hunter who are like the main villains of the game which I like because I don't want spoilers that these guys are trying to do.

My question is , is the Symbiote suit only available for a portion of the game and then you lose it and Venom comes ? So after you beat the story you can't use the suit for free roam and other side quest ? I would really hate that but it's the only thing that makes sense

@@zerotheg0d330 After Harry becomes venom when Peter removes the suit after hurting MJ, Peter retains a piece of the symbiote which he gives to Martin Li who turns the symbiote piece into anti venom which Peter uses to defeat Venom. You can use the black symbiote suit after the story but canonically Peter is keeping the white anti venom suit.

I think Spiderman back in 2018 was one of those games which reminded me of how fun games could be and relatable at the same time, and is one of the few games where you're not bothered about a checklist of tasks, or trophies to collect or rewards,...just the fact that you can exist and have fun being Spiderman and take everything in , fight crime and feel good about it .... what makes these games unforgettable and so addicting .

These reviews always mention fast travel but personally I will not be using that feature at all in a Spider-Man game. Only did it in the first game for the trophy and never touched it again. The traversal is too fun - and it's been improved tremendously in this game - to not use it. Every time I finished older Spider-Man games, the web-swinging gave it more replayability and I'd find myself free roaming for hours.

I don't understand the complaints about the web wings. If you don't like it then just swing. You says it funnels you into using the suit to cross water but then later you say you can also swing by bridges.

I loved all aspects of the game, even the open world, traversal and MJ missions. The pacing is perfect, transitioning between slow/emotional moments, comedy and over the top action.

This morning, I played about two to three hours of Spider-Man 2 so far. It's really good, but I've noticed that the cinematic sequences seem to be quite heavy in the beginning compared to actual gameplay. I've found it to be a bit frustrating. You play for 10 to 15 minutes and then another cinematic sequence starts up. Sometimes gameplay is less than 5 minutes between cinematic sequences. I enjoy the story and the characters, but this is supposed to be a game, not a movie. Hopefully, this will balance out more as the game progresses and allows for much more actual gameplay. That's my only complaint thus far. Otherwise, it is quite fantastic.

Gotta say the platinum is slightly easier than 2018 spider-man due to no taskmaster challenge 😊😜 but after u complete it there’s not much stuff for you to do except swing around and defeat enemies at the crime scene.

my only issues with the first game and it seems like it will be the case here is making some of Spidermans more famous villians nothing more than small side missions or underdeveloped the biggest example wasthe sinister six in the first game, they were wasted in such a laughable way, from what i have seen and now confirmed from reviews the same issues is in this game with lots of villians but a few are nothing more than one mission enemies, i hope Silk and Mysterio are being built up instead of just being nothing

One thing i wanna know is if Spider-Man is less cop friendly this time around because of the symbiote. I just replayed Spider-Man 1 and just noticed his friendliness and playfulness to cops was so corny and juvenile. In the Miles Morales game, miles was none of that despite his dad being a cop.

How did Insomniac do this? To implement decent ray tracing on the PS5 at 60fps was something no one believed was possible on this console generation. This rewrites the entire script for games post Spiderman 2 - it means almost any game could have ray tracing on both consoles and look gorgeous. We don't need the Pro versions anymore - we just need better developers

I cant get over the faces, I've basically gotten over Peters face at this point, but with MJ's new face now its throwing me off, Peter looks so much younger than her that its weird. But oh well lol, the actors needed to be changed, still hyped and this game looks like its gonna be great.

If Spiderman was on Xbox the game would be given a beyond 10 score, but given just 8 !! While for Halo the score he gave was 9 !!! which was barely worth a 6

Peter has anti venom power to cause more damage to symbiotes and electricity upgrades to his abilities that has the same effect as miles' on sandmen. Clearly you did not play the game to its fullest before reviewing and marking it down saying that they dont have unique powers for enemies in combat. Smh
