Buy a cheap Dreamcast (make sure is says 0, or 1 on the bottom) and buy a GDemu off of eBay. It allows you to play games of a SD card. Average about 60 bucks, about the price for modern triple a released game. No soldering required. Just open up the console, snap off the disc drive, and snap the GDemu in it's place.

What a time to be a gamer the 90s was, a shitload of masterpieces been released every year at the same time from Capcom, Snk, Namco, Sega, Midway, Rare, ID Software, your brain would literally melt everytime you got into an arcade due to so much epicness. Back when games were art, instead of a platform to profit with digital crap.

*MvC2 had bad music??????? That music aged like GOLD and it's one of the things people miss and enjoy till this day. You must be super simplistic minded and like that generic techno shit.*

Nostalgia hitting me hard. X-men vs Street Fighter was a turning point in fighting games. The merging of the greatest franchises at that time was beyond epic.

1:21:06 "The music is subjectively awful, and features a jazz soundtrack, ill-fitting of any fighting game." Skullgirls would like to have a word with you. Jazz and Big Band inspired tracks can work really well in a fighting game, if the people in charge put some serious effort in. (I have not heard the soundtrack for that Marvel vs Capcom game, but it's worth pointing out regardless.)

I know it's impossible to call a piece of entertainment the greatest of its genre but to me, MVC2 is. This game blew my mind when it came out and is still just as fun today. And I like the jazzy soundtrack but I'm a biased trumpet player. If the question is the most important fighting game of all time though, it's Street Fighter II hands down.

MvsC2 was the last good game in the series. Moving to 3D models and shrinking the roster, instead of expanding it, was a massive let down

Am I the only one who finds the colors of MvC 3 to be too dark overall? In most other games of the series, bright colors and sunny stages are practically everywhere. In MvC3, it is either night or a cloudy day. It takes away a lot of the enjoyment from looking at those cool cartoon characters beat up each other.

To me sf2 the world warrior will always have a special place in my heart. I remember how gaga everyone was for it. As the snes version got released and more and more versions, the arcades started thinning out. The magic wasn't as strong.
