Really hope this leads to a MvC4 (or 5, or whatever they end up calling it) sometime in the future, and if it does, that they let Capcom actually go nuts with it with little to no restrictions. With a longer development time and access to all of Marvel's characters (and not just MCU-related ones) MvCI probably would've been just as beloved as the rest of the series. With Disney now chill about the X-Men, F4, and everything else Marvel related, a MvC4 could have an amazing roster. As for other Capcom Fighting Collections; a 3D collection is a must. A CvS collection would be great too, but it'd be limited to just 2 games (unless they get permission to use the SNK-made crossover games as well). Overall though, this shit has me so pumped.

Other than Max you were my first thought when I saw the collection lol. Still insane this is even happening at all. A Capcom vs SNK Collection can't be far off either I feel. I also hope Capcom's 3D fighters get their own compilation as well. Though now I'm pretty peeved that Street Fighter's 30th Anni collection was so lackluster.

If we get a CVS collection I hope we get the SNK made titles too so we don't just get a two game collection

Man.... I can't believe this is really happening. Watching your Capcom vs Legacy videos reminded me how much I loved this crossover series many years ago, and thought it would never come back again due to being stuck in license limbo and after Capcom's relationship with Marvel being long strained. But now, here we are. Marvel vs Capcom is freed and lives once again! Without any doubt, day 1 purchase from me when it comes out. As Cyclops said it at best: "Dreams don't die!"

As someone who’s only played UMvC3 (and later dropped it given its lack of online traffic), this collection might as well be the shot in the arm I need to continue seeing this series through. Besides, if buying this when it comes out means I could be supporting an MvC game with Leon S. Kennedy in his re4 remake glory, then it’s a must buy.

Capcom used Summer Games Fest to announce the entirety of SF6 Season 2, which included Terry & Mai. Capcom then uses a Nintendo Direct to announce the MVC collection. Evo is only a month away... WTF ARE THEY GOING TO ANNOUNCE THERE?!

I'm very grateful that this collection is coming out. I had my doubts that they would do this, but I'm glad they were all wrong. I would love for an Capcom x SNK Fighting Collection, with CvS1,Pro and 2 and SvC Chaos,etc. and as well as a 3D Fighting Collection, with Power Stone, Rival Schools, etc.!

For 20 years I've been looking everywhere for MvC2 classic for my ps2 back in the day, but it left out all these years. But 20 years later, finally I got the chance to get the game in the fighting collection!!!

definitely my #1 reveal on yesterday's direct. (a close second was the new zelda, but I digress) played a little bit of XMSF in arcades, as well as MVSF on playstation, although my favorite in the series was MVC on dreamcast! so when I heard the entire marvel line was getting a console collection, I was quite hyped!! cool to hear about the extras like playing as the hidden characters without any codes required. definitely a day one purchase soon as they can pin down a release date.

I just hope people don't ignore the other games instead of just putting all of the focus on mvc2

A change I was hoping to see for the first Marvel Vs CAPCOM is being able to freely choose assists without needing to remember button combinations. Here's hoping that's a feature in the game they just forgot to list. Also, when the collections releases, are you going to use it for your CAPCOM VS legacy, or are you going to stick with whatever versions you were already using?

As someone who loved MVC after watching a bunch of family members play Mahvel 3 back in the ps3 days, seeing an announcement for collection of games my dad played was a wild ride for us yesterday. I can't wait to mess around in training mode and concoct a devious team hyper combo that does an absurd amount of damage and hits in these games like the Mahvel 3 days.

Exactly what you said, we all knew it is available on Dreamcast or somewhere else. Though as mentioned man that’s ancient hardware, and yes while the emulator/fightcade route is available. So many forget how small that really is truly. The player base on console, and steam for that matter are way more massive. So Capcom doing an official release will bring thousands of players instantly, it’s definitely a good thing. On top having all these online with potentially solid netcode? This right here is what is making this look like the definitive way to play. Not just solo also tournaments as well, hypeee.

What not to expect: the SNES X-Men and MSH games, the Genesis Punisher port and the PS EX editions of the Vs games. Another Capcom-Disney collaboration could take years so this could have been the perfect time to get them... And Norimaro, of course.

The most hype thing about the collection is that secret characters are playable, such as SF2 Akuma in COTA, Anita in MSH, Cyber Akuma in MSHvsSF and more, also rip Norimaru he was understandably cut.

I have the MVC2 cabinet and the Marvel cabinet and im still hyped for this collection. Especially because it has a training mode. I can finally learn how to play Ruby and Jill!

Two things I see coming soon: 1. There definitely needs to be a Mortal Kombat Kollection coming soon. 2. X-Men Legends, X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 need to be either remastered ASAP!!! Seriously, Marvel or whoever made it possible would make a serious profit.

I’ve been personally hoping for a Capcom vs. Tezuka game myself, since they’ve been doing those yearly art exhibitions. As much as I would still like this, getting this collection is more than I ever dreamed of! Not to mention that the official Mega Man twitter doesn’t even have any checkmark, while they got the MvC one a gold one lends some credence to the new game, because MM didn’t get one just because it had collections coming out.

Thank you for mentioning Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems on SNES. As well as X-Men Mutant Apocolypse. These gems would have been stellar. But Im happy with what we got.

I'm Gonna Give Ya Some Background Into my history with Marvel Vs Capcom back In The 1990's I watched Marvel Comics cartoons on Fox Kids and I also watch Street Fighter & Megaman's cartoons on USA Network before I was a Wrestling fan during the mid 2000's and when I saw X-Men Vs Street Fighter (the Arcade machine) I was hooked for life Marvel Vs Street Fighter Marvel Vs Capcom Ect. I grew up with this crossover series and a ardent fan (except Infinite though)

I think a massive pro to this collection is that it's going to be A LOT easier for tournaments to run these games. I wouldn't be surprised if combobreaker ran all of these games next year due to ease

Honestly, hearing it skipping Xbox is genuinely devastating to me. Xbox is where I go for all my multiplat games, and I bought every capcom collection on it ( with the exception of the EX collection ) and hearing where not getting it is hell. I'm honestly really upset, but I unfortunately know capcom doesn't care, and they moved on from the Xbox brand.

I really, really, really really hope the Training Modes in every game allow us to slow the game down. Like how you can set the game speed to 1/4 in Super Smash Bros. 4 and Ultimate. It helps me when it comes to learning a game.

After 6 long years, dreams do come true. But there are speculations in the future: - a third Fighting Collection consist of Capcom's 3D fighting games is in the works but will happen in the next 2 years. - don't get your hopes up on Capcom vs.SNK Fighting Collection. What can it add when they made only 2 but add one more made by SNK needs more negotiations just to make it happen. It may end up selling it cheap by half the price for just 2 games.

I've also noticed in the trailers that the Training Stage is included in the Arcade emulated version of MVC2 in the collection which is not featured in the original Naomi hardware version of the game.

I already did my part and preordered two PS4 copies from Best Buy. I'll cop the digital version on PSN and Steam when they go on a deep sale later as well. I don't care if MVC4/5 ever happens although it would be nice (Nero, Nightcrawler, Leon Kennedy?). The major takeaway is that we finally have modern ports of these games that we can continue to play for years offline and now online.

i think another mvc1 background they might (hopefully) edit is the lab with all the flickering screens in the background, im quite sensitive to some flashing lights and i just cant play on that stage outside of on a crt without getting a headache

It'll be cool if they added new X-Men characters like Nightcrawler and Angel. I never understood why Nightcrawler wasn't included when he was damn near everybody's favorite!
