Net 0 hiring means no incremental head count. Basically, whatever the employee count is now, that’s a what it will stay for however long they need it to. So new roles opening up will be replaced internally. It’s different to a hiring freeze because net 0 means you can hire to replace people that quit whereas a hiring freeze is hiring no one all together

CJ is spot on, I visited my grandparents this past June and brought my laptop to be able to game during lax times. my grandma saw me on rocket league and asked me a good 30 questions over the week I was there about it. and she watched me play for about an hour just fascinated by the game. it's easily digestible and an easy sell on why it's so great.

Bit of business advice for the kids in the chat - make a massive song and dance about the roles you have. If you are doing multiple roles, your biggest priority needs to be making that known to leadership. When redundancies happen, so often the soft spoken hard workers cop it because leadership doesn’t know what they do. Even if it’s cringe glowing up yourself, you gotta do it to save yourself

Tim needs to wake up and realise steam is destroying him because they made it convenient and easy to buy games, not force exclusives, and bury studio's careers. That's why their losing money. That store is disgrace considering how much money and time they've had to fix it, all whilst clear examples on how to do it well exist right next door.

Do you think the merge is the reason? Obviously when groups merge there's would be multiple people from each team with the same role, so unfortunately as a business you'd have to make the duplicate people redundant.

Probably no, the off-season was probably planned before. Even if Rlcs was on now , the layoffs would’ve happened anyways because FNCS is getting screwed 2 weeks before a 4 million LAN

The problem with rocket league is that is too hard to play for the average player. You can play cod for the first time ever and top frag. If you’ve never played a game like rocket league you’re going to be dog water even after several hours still be bad compared to the top 0.01% rocket league is probably the most mechanical game out there. Nothing is like rocket league.

Guys. In the past week, I've made my way to p3 div 3/4 10 times and have immediately gotten partied enemies that make passing plays and a teammate that cannot aerial... I've stood strong mentally, having almost gotten to D3 last season but have currently fallen to p2 div 1, 1 game off of p1 and its infuriating because I know I deserve so much better. I could win a champ 1 2v2 game having never been in the rank, but still know it'd be through luck and major try harding and that I don't quite deserve champ (so dont put me in one of those videos), but how am I going to learn what I need to, to get to champ, if I'm versing platinum 2s and scoring 5 goals a game but have a teammate who misses 6 saves. I think my matchmaking has been toyed with by Epic staff for toxicity, but my toxicity is always towards someone who was toxic to me first. I just want to get back to d2-d3...

I'll let you in on a secret.... There is no agenda against you and you can't win a Champ 2v2 at Plat or even Diamond level. Each rank grows in skill almost exponentially. I'm a comfortable C3 in all games but GC in 2's. I get shit on regularly, no matter who my teammates are. And don't be toxic. For any reason. You are the guy you hate, even if you feel it's justified.

That shows how truly little you know about me. I was g3 with 400 hours on XBOX, swapped to pc s5 hit p1, s6 p2, s7 p3, s8 hit diamond, s9 5 wins, s10 secured diamond, s11 secured diamond, s12 so far 7 diamond wins. You don't know me or my skill. At 1000 hours now I can comfortably say I'm better than 92% of diamonds that I encounter. While I'm air dribbling or ceiling shotting, they're playing fifa with cars. @@STruscott22

When I hit D2 1 game off D3, I got an AFK, then someone who immediately left (probably dropping rank), I then tilted and retorted to toxic people thinking if I throw a few with toxic teammates, worst i'll fall to is d1. That day I hit p3 div 4 and took a month off, now i'm back a month in and relearning forgotten skill, but still better than 100% of true plat 3s and majorty of D1s@@STruscott22

If it makes you feel any better, everyone in my RL friend group has said this season feels way harder to them than past seasons. A friend who's normally GC1 is hardstuck C2 right now and I'm normally a high C2/bubble C3 player, and I was in Diamond 3 at one point this season (now C1 div 3 slowly climbing back up to C2, but it's a struggle). If you're stuck in that rank for a long period of time though, it's almost certainly because you're performing at about the same skill level of the players in that rank. You saying you're scoring 5 goals and still losing because of your teammates is telling. You shouldn't be relying on your teammate to make 6 saves a game. Without having watched your gameplay, I'd bet You're leaving your teammate in a lot of 2v1s or unfavorable 1v1s by making challenges that throw yourself out of the play. Try to find the balance between trusting your teammate and assuming they can make a mistake at any given moment. It usually requires playing a more supportive role, but it's the play style that's allowed me to peak up to C3 so far. Don't worry too much about the rank you're in, just worry about improving and the rank ups will come. Good luck!

everyone thinks they deserve better, though in some cases it's true, I recommend you save replays and see things through your teammate's perspective, you might be making things awkward for them more often than you think (that could explain the missed saves and other mistakes in general)
