I love the way larger snakes move like that when there's no objects to push off of. They move their muscles kinda like a centipede moves its legs in a sort of wave, I just think it's cool xD

Calm down peeps its just my cousins boa and its very calm natured. That's not to say we don't respect in every sense as these are dangerous animals but look at the way it moves its amazing. Your right he was way more interested in going for a mooch rather than eating and he is about 3.5mtrs long now and got a little bit thinner he should get much bigger than that which is lucky ey!!!!!

@Lpxm9 жыл бұрын
your lucky if you have a male that size, he wont get much bigger and don't try and make him other wise he will just get obese, already looks a little bit over weight. tbh i would say you have a female looking at that size. males tend to stay around 7ft so 2.1m sometimes bigger, females 9ft so 2.7m. either way nice common =] if he is male then hes a big boy and wont get much bigger at all.

This snake is a sexy beast and he looks like a kind hearted free spirit :D I almost wondered if it was a female because his nubby tail but he is a fat boy so it is hard to tell but mine got bit by a rat from his past owner and lost a huge chunk of the end of his tail so the end of HIS tail litterally looks like a fat bratwurst sausage instead of a pointy tail. Hehehehe.

@chai28116 жыл бұрын
Jason Hartin Mites can't drown, you will have to kill the mites, because your snake can't get rid of them by itself. If mites are left untreated it can even cause death to your snake, so I'd recommend you to do it as soon as possible.

If you say that you want one, you're ready. They are definitely gorgeous.
@makyronkingoferidu30167 жыл бұрын
Audrey Gander We know it is only pennies to feed a snake, All he said was that it is gorgeous and that he wants one. There are many types of bacteria that can damage your snake and cause stomatitis if they are left unclean. Scale rot is not just "Scale Rot." Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of those, yet non-viral unlike the nastiest one out there (Which is named Paramyxovirus). Inflammation of the entire head stemming from stress (which could be a wide variety of things) and hygiene are the causes of bacteria growth in their microbiota. You failed to inform him that after dealing with "mouth rot" that you should supplement your snake with Probiotics and Vitamin D3 to recover properly. You can treat such bacteria with a beta-lactam antibiotic. Penicillins and Cephalosporins are a good place to start. Though Peudomonas can quickly mutate to outsmart the antibiotic treatment, but after you discover which antibiotics they are sensitive to, then you can relax. As far as the antibiotics that Pseudomonas is sensitive to, the list is as follows: Kanamycin, Gentamicin, Carbenicillin, Cloramphenicol, and Amikacin. Though one should use Gentamicin as the first trial. Then you be aware of beta-lactamases, which then you should use a Carbapenem as they are relatively resistant. But this is how you go about treating it "perfectly." I wanted to educate a new snake owner on the matter. It can happen to anyone if their care is below adequate levels, as I had one issue at the beginning of my adventure two years ago. Enjoy your boa :).
