I am making a bench style stool with splayed legs and angled through mortise and tenon joints out of some Cherry Matt. I have enough for three stools so I might try the angles your way on one of them. I'll send you some pics when I'm done.

Matt I love this beautiful table! I know you made this look easy to make but it must have taken a lot of time to make because it sure looks beautiful with the mortise and tenon. It would definitely make a show case piece of furniture in a bedroom or beside the sofa. If I made something with this quality I would be very proud of myself. And I know you must feel the same about your master skills working with wood. 👍

what a beautiful table Matt , i'm gonna try my hand on making something similar but as a stool, i have several redwood slabs that could be joined and made into a longer table top but i don't have many skills or tools but plenty of time so i'll try my hand at some stools...

I enjoy your videos Matt and I'm not the safety police but I had to comment. At 9:54 - holding a large upright piece of wood unsupported, at an angle, into a dado blade was one of the most dangerous cuts I've seen on a table saw.

I like the beefy design and the precision joinery. I'm no expert, but some of those table saw cuts were a bit sketchy -- without a jig, sled, _something_. I prefer the no-music videos when there is commentary and/or shop sounds: the music is just distracting. If the sound track is just music, I can simply mute it if I don't care for it, but on this one I would have missed the sounds of woodworking, and the interesting/funny comments.

Matt I enjoy your channel. I recently had a walnut log given to me. It is 21" at the butt end, I am going to build a chainsaw mill but was wandering what size of chainsaw bar would I need with the log being 21",as well how wide will the mill need to be?

That’s a professional tenon there Matthew. I wouldn’t have the kahunas to make that tenon in my shop.

Great build! Love the way Matt pays attention to detail even with the parts of the mortise and tenon joints that will not be visible to ensure a solid fit. This video also gives a great view of the complete line of Triton tools offered. This design lends itself a little to Japanese Carpentry joinery so even better. On a side note: Personally, I could do without the cheesy, cosmic kabuki music.

Matt, what was the finish you used? I love the way the cherry took the finish and made everything pop. Nice work -- as always!

Matt, watching you jointing those planks reinforces to me why I have a European-style bridge guard rather than a porkchop style. Mine is always in position to protect you, whereas your style opens up as soon as a board goes by it, and - just as yours does - often stays open even after you've completed your cut. Gluing and cutting with all sounds and you’r silent comments are so relaxing...

Second Yesterday I made a bow saw. it had two 1/4" x 9/16" tendons. lol

He applies glue to his boards like I apply mayo to my sandwich, overload the first slice then move the excess to the second.

When you were cutting the tenons at about 11:50 I saw those big curves and I thought, what kind of joint is this? Then I realized, it was just gabbaage.

Any one know the make of that bevel

Matt’s a trooper for cutting all those mortises with the crappy Triton chisels. Bet he couldn’t wait for the cameras to turn off so he could switch back to his REAL chisels. Project turned out nice though.

Nice Project Matt. There were a few cuts you made on the table saw which were very dangerous, at 7:17 you were finishing the cut and it I could hear it starting to bind. That's when kick back happens. You should have found a better way to do that cut, maybe use your mitre gauge. The next two were 9:53 and 10:08. Those were two very dangerous and sketchy cuts. I could see the board wobbling a bit as you passed it over the blade. You could have spent a few minutes making a support from the off cuts to help support the board. You sacrificed safety and logic for speed. Not a good decision. Overall, It's great project but you were acting recklessly. I am not sure a "Master of Wood" would have proceed so unsafely. Thanks for the video and I hope many people duplicate the bedside table and not your sketchy table saw cuts. Take Care.

That's an, Interesting table with angled joinery, BUT, cutting those tenons on the table saw using the dado stack was downright scary. How about making another video showing a safer way, maybe with a jig offering more solid support?

The handles and that twist to lower and raise the router is legit the worst thing you guys could have ever done. Mine locked up all the time so it just gets stuck at a height and it's so slow even when it does work. The handles are super uncomfortable. Worst buy I have ever made for my shop. And I bought master craft tools.

Taking a arch out of the bottom to make 4 feet will be easier on the floors and will level easier on uneven floors.

Not the best work I’ve seen you do, but it’s knock down so you can easily utilize that wood for a different project in the future when you get tired of it.
