Nick's. His looks like a witch's shadow since shadow's moving across a surface are often distorted by that surface. A shadow in motion is much more frightening than a posing shadow. Congratulations, Nick.

They both did a great job for a first time using the pro carving tools, but just as a note, to really bring the pumpkin to the next level, a lot of the more "dentist" style tools are meant for scraping the top flesh off. You can manipulate the amount of light that comes through the pumpkin by carving away the thickness and having a thinner layer of pumpkin in those patterns. Just a tip for anyone interested in using all of the different style tools.

Omg, in 2nd grade I went as a Christmas tree also. My mom made it and she bought battery powered lights that hung all over me and then stuck this HUGE star on my head. It was funny AF but super cute. Lol. When I got to school I got so embarrassed though. 😂

Thanks for this demo. Very good carvings - I think the pumpkin on the right looks scarier so I like that best. I wish I knew about all the carving sets with extra tools back when I was carving pumpkins...
